    Sterling Shores is located just off Highway 98 and is just a short walk to many beach dining experiences such as The Pancakery and The Back Porch. If you’re looking to fill your fridge or pick up some supplies, Sterling Shores is just down the road from many popular retailers such as Target, Whole Foods, and Walmart. Looking to hit the Links?     Please be advised that a roof replacement project is currently underway at Sterling Shores, with an anticipated completion date by the end of July 2026.

    Construction activity will occur Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with the possibility of Sunday work if weather delays are encountered. During morning hours (7:00 AM to approximately noon), guests may experience sawing and scraping noise, most notably in penthouse units. Afternoon work is expected to be considerably quieter.

    We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as this necessary improvement is completed, and we regret any inconvenience this may cause during your stay.

We loved this condo! The space was more than enough for our family of 6. We would definitely rebook! The room was clean. We were given a few supplies (dish soap, sponge, dishwasher pods, laundry pods & bathroom pack, toilet paper and paper towel) to get our stay started which was an added bonus. Plus they had hand soap in the bathrooms to use. The washer and dryer are large size so great for the beach towels and swim wear! The couch is super comfy as we watched some March Madness! The Back Porch and the Candy Maker are right beside the condo so you can get dinner, drinks and dessert close by.

Wonderful Fall Break

The condo was very spacious and had all we needed and more! Great pools, easy beach access, plenty of green space, and the PERFECT location! Easy walk to great restaurants, the Candy Maker, and The Track. We had the BEST time and will definitely return!

Great location

We loved the location; right next to the beach. And a close drive to a lot of activities. Could of be a little cleaner but over all I don’t have any complaints.

Family vacation

We enjoyed our stay at sterling shores and we will return for sure. It would of been nice to have a few more towels and to have known that we needed to bring beach towels but we still enjoyed the property

Enjoyable Stay

We had a great experience at this unit. Large balcony and living room, which worked well with our group of six. The walk to the beach is really close and we did not mind it at all. The unit was clean and good working order.

Condo on the beach.

It was a beautiful location. But the floor was a little dirty. I may Have noticed it more due to having a crawling baby that puts everything in her mouth. I tried Communicating with the property manager prior to our trip and did not get any replies back through VRBO, I had to call to get an answer about my question. Other than that it was a wonderful place. I’d stay there again.

Family Vacay

I'm getting straight to the point. The location of this property is good. You can walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes. There's not much within walking distance except for a candy store and a restaurant. The cleanliness of the property needs alot of work. I did complain about the cleanliness and received a quick response. The resolution was okay, but didn't solve all of the problems. I wouldn't recommend staying here until the property is updated and cleaned well.

Condo served its purpose, but there were a few minor issues. One, there is absolutely no blankets, so bring your own. The ones on the bed are essentially a sheet. And if you need to use the couch or trundle you deff will need blankets. Second, the construction you are warned of, but what the didn't say is that the furniture from the deck will be in the condo! So there was a giant outside table just in the middle of the living area. Lastly, if you go down to the beach and try and return through the property after 10pm they will lock the gates so you can't come back through that way. It was very odd as we were told "hopefully you can scale the fence, cause this happens a lot". As a lawyer, that is a lawsuit waiting to happen if you know and expect guest to scale a fence. The location of the condo was good as it was close to everything in Destin. And after the construction I'm sure the deck is super nice to relax on because it's very large.

Poor Cleaning

The location was great, close to beach and restaurants. The unit was not very clean. There was a lot dust, dirty utensils, beds were uncomfortable. Balcony furniture was dirty and to big for the space. We had to keep AC temp at 72 degrees with 5 people! Coffee machine broke.

Great property for family and friends. We loved the stay and will recommend this. Super clean with new appointments. Master bed and guest Queen bed in good condition. Beach is 3mins walk right behind the Backporch restaurant, so great location at a good price. Third bedroom needs some uplift to the mattress and the owner should change the bedding set. It squeaks so you will wake up several times at nite due to the noise. Kitchen paper towels were not restocked and it appears to be a miss by the cleaning crew. Despite the above I still rate this property very high and recommend for future guests.

We will come back. Great location! Great place space. We checked in at 4 but the cleaner crew was still there until 4:45pm. It would have been nice to have been provided extra time on the check out day. But this will not stop me from coming back to stay in this unit. I do understand that many people are short of help! Also, there was an issue with a restroom. We called maintenance and they came right up! Super responsive! Overall A-😊

Great location for a family beach trip!

I love staying at the Sterling Shores resort. Great location to restaurants and stores! We’ve stayed in multiple units at Sterling Shores over the years. This unit was great for what we needed and the decor was very modern, but could use some upgrades. The rugs were very old and made it questionable to walk on, the patio furniture was moldy from the weather we felt like we couldn’t spend a lot of time out there. The coffee pot didn’t work but was replaced right away and the dishwasher wasn’t very powerful so we had to hand wash most of the time. Other than those few things we really enjoyed our stay! We will be returning to Sterling Shores year after year but might consider a different unit next time.

Great location but could use some improvements

Great location! Easy walk to the beach and personal fave, The Back Porch! Condo overall was great! Place was gorgeous and the patio was amazing! Few things to note: when we got there all the dishes were dirty, we had to hand wash everything before we used it. The ice maker in the fridge/freezer didn’t work. Cookware could use some updating. There was poor lighting in the twin room. In the twin room, there was makeup stains on one of the pillows. Also, the description of the room with twin beds is deceiving. You think you get two twin beds but it’s a twin bed with a trundle underneath. Overall great stay!

Perfect rental for our stay!

We loved this condo. The condo was in immaculate shape. It was extremely roomy. Very conveniently located, a short uber ride to the harbor, and across the street from Walmart. The Bach Porch restaurant was also very convenient if we needed a cocktail on the beach, or a quick bite to eat. The pools were very nice if we needed a break from the sand. The walk to the beach wasn't a bad one at all. The only negative is that the thermostat did not go below 72. We are used to sleeping colder than that. It was fine, but would get warm in the night. FYI, the beach has chairs and umbrellas for purchase. It is a private beach and tents are not allowed. You can bring your own umbrellas/chairs. Overall, great stay! We really enjoyed staying here!

50th Birthday Girl's Trip

Communication regarding this property was very timely and received responses to my questions pretty quick. Unit was large enough for 5 women. The Unit could use a bit of updating for sure. A cloth sectional sofa is in the family room which had spots throughout so we had to cover it with a sheet to feel comfortable while sitting on it. The balcony gave us a beautiful view but the patio furniture cushions were spotty as well so we just used the table and chairs that didn't have cushions. The cleaning staff left a Zevo Ant, Roach, and Fly bottle on the breakfast bar and you could see were they sprayed around the floors which left them slippery in places. That wasn't a good look and led us to wonder if they've experienced problems in the past and left us pretty nervous. The beds are squeeky so if you toss and turn throughout the night, just be mindful of that. The ceiling fan in the front bedroom shook and ticked all night long. We couldn't figure out how to work the TV in the family room but all others worked with no problem. Guidance on which remote works with what would have been helpful. Overall, our stay was short and decent for a weekend.
