The only good thing about this hotel is that it is close to the beach. This "resort" was by far in the worst shape I have ever seen. There were gaps between the front door and door frame, the bathroom was chipped and falling apart, and the entire area was in ruins. Thankfully, we were refunded.

Double booking rooms
First room was already occupied. New room was double booked and someone was trying to enter the room at midnight. Next morning verified that no one was going to be entering our room. Went shopping and came back to find we were locked out of our room. We left!!!!

We started out our trip in a 2 queen bed hotel room. It was gross! Chipping paint, very beat up and not taken care of in a very long time. We changed our travel plans and stayed more nights. We switched to a king bed room. This was a little better but we had tiny little ant like bugs, everywhere!!! I’m thankful we didn’t spend much time in our room at all! The shower in this room was awful!! It trickled!! Took 20min just to wet my medium length hair!! The showers by the beach had better pressure!! We heard while down there it was closing their doors. Sad, it’s a beautiful place if it was taken care of!! The pool area was nice. The drinks there were good & reasonably priced!! Our bartender, Josh was the best!!! So friendly & kind!! I would never have spent that kind of money in that kind of an environment!! It was run down to almost nothing! People living there, cops came poolside Saturday afternoon because a fight broke out! I’m sure it was from people that lived there…. Scared walking around there at night!! Not all the lights worked either. Big gaps in the main doors too! All around the place was a sad dump!!!

Just found out the facility is being demolished so the property has not been kept in perfect condition. Saddens us bc the property has been in our family and friends history since growing up as the Holiday Inn. Saddened to know that so much will be destroyed instead of the property being upgraded and kept.

Needs help
The hot tub wasnt working. The fitness room wasnt available. Bugs in the room when we got there. Had a bad smell everywhere.. especially one side of the building smelled like someone puked. It was very run down. I found out that it is being torn down so they really didnt care. Was not happy with this place. When i get a place i expect the pool, hot tub, and fitness to be available because that is why i book what i do.

Place is literally falling apart. Only saving grace was the bar staff at the pool area. Otherwise this place needs a ton of updating. The shower handle fell off when we used it, bugs in the room, etc.

Terrible hotel. The pictures on the app are 100% different they don't even come close to the real story. Cockroaches in 2rooms. Tv not working just down right bad. Its a crime how much they want for this place. Nasty and dirty.

Affordable and on the beach
Last of the affordable hotels ON the beach. Not the fanciest or best kept property, but if you just need a place to sleep between your days on the beach, this is a great choice.

Nothing matched the pics. The gounds was dark at night. The staff was short. The pool was horrible. The Spa was closed! The kids pool was closed. The toilet water came out the bottom when flushed. The tub didnt drain.

The pictures here make it seem great. The lobby was good. You don't see its full grotess until you are walking to your room and the crackheads living in various rooms around property. My door didn't fully close! The pirate ship thing would be awesome if it wasn't falling apart! they had to close it because a kid got hurt from a broken piece.

Best kiddie pool
Always love this place. We love the kiddie pool its like no other. The rooms are dated. We are sad to find out they are tearing it down. 😢

The outside was great, the rooms are disgusting and outdated. Floors were filthy and nasty inside the rooms, had to wear shoes at all times in room. friend found a crab in her toilet the second morning and checked out.

It’s ok for the money. My issue was an attempt to be double charged because they didn’t show the room was prepaid for through you guys. I had to show my bank account to get in the room. Staff was friendly though

I loved the beach & how clean the pool area was , but what i seen online and what i walked into for my hotel didnt match the beautiful pictures i seen online, the hotel was ran down , no housekeeping. We had to keep asking for bags for our trash. We had to sweep/clean our own room. The office area stinks real bad. The people around were friendly but the place overall was disappointing! The bed kept itching all of us, their was dry coffee all around the coffee pot when we got checked into the room. It was a terrible experience especially after a long flight and thinking your coming to a nice hotel to relax.

Super location,ocean views, nice specious 2 rooms with two kings beds ans sofa ,kitchenette and large balcony.Nice large bathroom. Highly recomended and people on reception very nice.

Spend a little more money, and go somewhere clean
They put us in the wrong room to start, but sadly, both rooms looked like they hadn't been maintained in decades, other than the flooring. Dirty sheets, and a broom closet of a bathroom that had no fan. For this area, and the money, you are definitely getting what you pay for. Most of the property is roped off in caution tape, and looks like it is on the verge of closing. The beach access is the one saving grace for this property.

I understand this is an older hotel, but no upkeep of the property at all. Our room, the shower was clog, the dried was falling off the wall, and the tv needed adjustments

First and last time
The lobby was not air conditioned. The room smelled musty. The bathroom faucets were disconnected from the wall. The bathtub drained very slowly, so much so that the tub filled within moments of turning on the shower.

Tear it down and rebuild!
The Lobby looked newly remodeled, the rest of the motel is dated 1960's, too many coats of touch up paint and hack repairs. The cable tv wall box had no cover and wires hanging out, Not to code! The only ice machine was usually empty by all the guests/non-guests filling their large beach coolers. Half the lights in my room, upstairs walkway and outside my room including the adjoining stairwell not working. No easy path to the pool, no beach or pool towels on Saturday night. Pool water very dirty! No cleaning of your room unless you request it, my $135 a night room totaled $380 for 2 nights with way over priced fees. Half of the motel rooms, parking lot, conference and breakfast rooms are under recontruction. Covid money?? I only booked here because all the 4 & 5 Star hotels had no vacancies.

Hotel ok for a 1 night stay
It was in need of some remodeling very bad. Our room door was covered in rust/missing paint really bad. One of the lamps in our room did not work, it was broken. The bathroom was always wet like there might be a leak from the toilet. There was no phone in the room so you could not call the front desk if needed. The TV channels were really static and some didn't even come in. The ice machines were either broken or very dirty. The large pool seemed to be a party area after 10pm and they allowed people to play loud music. The kids pool was fun for the kids but the water was pretty dirty and some of the slides were rough on your bottom at the end. The kids pool area could use some new paint and updating.The beds were really comfortable and lower to the grown so that was great for my 4 and 8 yr old.

The pics on their website are very outdated. Everything needs a facelift. The restaurant and bars were only open on the weekend. The staff were all very nice tho.

Some good and some bad
The location on the beach is excellent, especially for rocket launches. The pool and the kids play area were great. The hotel staff was really kind and helpful. Now, the area that needs addressing. First and foremost, roaches. We stayed on property with two other families, 3 rooms in total, and all of us saw roaches in the rooms. My family personally saw 3 as we walked in, but no more during the two days we stayed. There is a product called Advion that is amazing and if the hotel just invested in this gel, it would definitely solve the roach issue. General upkeep needs help as we saw a lot of rust around the doors and maintenance issues in the rooms. The hotel has a ton of potential, it just needs some investment.

Outdated, Poor Condition, & Poor Business Practice
I've always said a hotel room is a place to lay your head for the night. Well, this is the first time I have ever felt my statement is WRONG. This property totally made me change my perspective on a hotel. A hotel should be a place you can feel welcomed, safe, and get a good nights rest. Upon arrival, the hotel seemed ok and the lobby area seemed a little dated. The check in staff was pleasent so thats a plus, but thats about it. When we (my wife, 7yo, and 4yo) arrived in the parking lot where our room was, thats when it all went down fast. The walkway from the parking lot to the room was a dirt path. Upon entering the room, it was a shock at how old and outdated it was. The ceiling fan box was hanging out of the wall (ceiling fan didnt work), tv coaxial cable laying on the floor, carpet on the stairs ripped, holes/mold in the drop ceiling in the bathroom, missing tile in the shower, peeling paint in the tub, AC closet (2ft from bed) missing its door. If it wasnt for every surrounding hotel being booked due to a launch, I'd coughed up the money as a loss and booked at another hotel. Never felt so uneasy in a hotel before. Luckly we stayed one night and left. I'd encourage anyone looking at this property to do your research before booking here. Photos of the property are photoshopped, the condition of the hotel was a major concern. Outdated hotel isnt a problem if its well kept, but outdated with such issues is unacceptable to call acceptable business.
