Clarkdale Cottage by the Park -Near Jerome, Sedona
This historic stunner is an updated 1915 house, which has been luxuriously decorated to make your stay complete! French doors open to a beautiful deck with ample seating and space to enjoy a warm sunrise or afternoon sunset. Exit the front door for a stroll to the lovely Clarkdale Park which hosts live music, parades and other special events.Take a 20-30 minute drive to beautiful Sedona and come back to the quiet streets of Clarkdale. Wine tasting rooms are close by in Old Town or Jerome. The space This historic house is full of charm. Originally built in 1915 for the mining days of the preplanned company town of Clarkdale, it has been upgraded in only the right areas. The full kitchen has been completely renovated and includes an elegant bar for additional seating. It has all the amenities plus a few starter items such as coffee and bottled water. The two bedrooms have queen mattresses and windows to let the natural light in. The front bedroom has a gorgeous wall size mirror and a Smart television along with a brand new bed. The back bedroom has a completely new queen bed with a Cool Gel memory foam mattress. The inviting living room has a new couch and loveseat. The couch folds out for additional sleeping room. The bathroom has homemade hand soap from a wonderful Clarkdale business and smells so good! A full deck with built-in seating and extra chairs offer a beautiful view of Bitter Creek and surrounding hills. Take in the history of the town with the view from the backyard which looks out on the old smelter, railroad tracks and distant views of the red rocks in Sedona. Make yourself comfortable on the front porch as the neighborhood comes alive with the friendliest small town you will experience. The house is not childproof. There is no satellite TV, however options to log into Netflix or other apps as well as a Blu-Ray player is available. There are two coffee makers, one small single serve and one drip coffee maker. Limited Coffee is provided to get started but the guest may need to buy more for the stay. No parties and no smoking allowed on property. Guest access All house areas are accessible. There is parking for vehicles. Street parking available in front of house too. Clarkdale is a small town but I advise to lock all cars and the house. Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle. Keep in mind most of the neighbors may be retired.
A few basic starter amenities are provided. Examples of this would be toilet paper, three extra rolls are provided in addition to the current roll on the toilet paper holder and not restocked if depleted during the stay.
The shed outback and extreme back yard (that is gated off ) is not accessible at this time. The house is not childproof.
*There may be a fee imposed if check out directions are not followed.* Other things to note The Verde Canyon Railroad train tracks are in Bitter Creek, a few miles behind the house. There will be train noise on occasion. Due to the Bitter Creek wilderness there may be wildlife that gets through the fence. Please don’t engage with wildlife. Please don’t leave food products on the deck or in the backyard patio area.
