The room was very spacious but it smelt very bad . Bad odour. Had to buy a room freshener and spray it. We stayed for 3 nights and when we asked for housekeeping services to clean the toilet, washroom and change linen , we were told they don’t provide this service . Breakfast was decent .

Personable, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Had great recommendations for places for dinner. Bed was SUPER comfy. Breakfast was also good, just wished it opened a bit earlier than 9am! Loved just walking across the street to be right on the beach! We will be staying here again!!

The hours for breakfast would be useful on the website. We would not have stayed there had we known they don't serve breakfast until 9:00 on weekends. Not much use when we need to be at an event by 7:30 a.m. Other than that the hotel was clean and quiet and functional.

Really would have liked a bath tub( was shower only and a very small one at that) ...never thought i would have to specifically request that. Perhaps more specific information in the advertising would have helped. Will definitely stay again...and book a room WITH a tub!

When we checked in there was no one at the desk. It was self check in that day. Our room key did not work so i needed help from a housekeeper to re program the key. I had questions about the under ground parking as this was not mentioned in ad. Also not sure why they would put people with pets on the upper floors with carpet in the room.

Heron's landing is a solid, budget, option. The room was quiet, clean, and functional and the bed was comfortable (and bug-free - we ALWAYS check). We missed breakfast, but it looked like a good solid breakfast. The building, carpets, and fixtures are old and don't appear to have been updated so it's a bit shabby looking - but the lack of updates is probably what makes the reasonable price possible. The parking was truly the worst feature. There isn't enough space for all the guests, and the owners block off two spots in the garage for their expensive cars, so we ended up parked across the road for the night in a nasty storm. The other thing to be aware of is that the reception desk closes at 5 pm, and we didn't know to expect that, leaving us confused about how to find our room when we arrived. There is a sign at the desk that invites guests to dial "0" to get instructions, but it's not as clear as it could be, and easy to miss if you don't know to look for it. We met one person who had found his key-card and gone through the hotel trying it in every door to in an attempt to find his room. This confusion could be easily resolved by ensuring that a simple, standard, email is sent to all new bookings advising of the 'after-hours' check-in process. (yes, I gave this suggestion directly to the person at reception the next morning)

The hotel was older, but the rooms were clean enough. The big problem for us was the parking: they have 28-30 rooms but they only have 21 tight parking spaces on property (13 indoors and 8 outdoors). If you have a full-size truck, you'll probably be limited to the outdoor spaces. Their "overflow" parking is the shoulder of the highway across the street. Fine for some, not for us.

Older place but they really keep it in good repair. Very,clean, quiet and friendly. Ocean front offers great waterside walking with paved.walkway. Definitely best bang for your buck. Very disappointed that the continental breakfast didn't start until 09:00 as needed to leave by 08:45

The inside did not match the outside. The hotel was very old and needs some TLC and to be made more accessible. The cleaninest was terrible cups and glasses had a dirty film on them like they were cleaned with a dirty rag. The bathroom was very unsanitary with toilet paper that was gross. Overall if I hadn't been so exhausted I would have left but once I sat down I couldn't move. However the little lobby which I had great difficulty getting into was lovely with cute decorations and the lady on the desk was very nice.

I am sorry that your room was not up to our standard. We pride ourselfs in having a top ranking clean hotel! We do have a 4 inch step and 2 hand rails into the breeze way leading into our lobby, I apologize for that being difficult for you.
