6/10
On the plus side: The place has a functioning elevator (the apartment is 4 floors up from the street); the interior is quiet and roomy, with a well-equipped kitchen and a clothes washer-dryer; the location is excellent, close to shops and the Metro. The office staff are readily available and helpful.
Deficiencies: the only windows open to an enclosed light well; there is no direct access to fresh air. Renters must bring or purchase all disposables including soap and toilet paper. The kitchen has no staples, not even salt/pepper/sugar. Although the base rent is reasonable, there are significant "extras". The cleaning fee is substantial and is required. The tourist tax (which went up in 2018) adds several more euros. There are also charges for check-in outside of the designated hours of 3 pm to 8 pm, for late check-out and for short-term baggage storage. This is the business model of a cheap hotel, not a "home away", which is unfortunate, because the apartment in most respects is superior to a similarly priced hotel.
