I really love staying at Dave Parker's EcoLodge Hotel. This was my second time, and I really enjoyed my time there. They've made some improvements in the six months between visits and now include a handy information sheet on basic Samoan phrases for guests new to Samoa. They also clearly indicate that meals are by request, which was initially confusing on my first stay. I love coming back to Dave's because it is quiet and set in stunning nature. Staff are friendly and helpful, and take time to chat with you, especially if you are looking a little lost and uncertain. I highly recommend staying here. Fa'afetai lava!

Just the locations but everything else was terrible no one came to clean our room staff was so rude our family came to visit one of the staff came and say to leave right away he was rude blankets and pillows was so dirty old and yucky looking sink was so dirty no one came to check if we need to clean our room so disappointed we have to leave the place and our nights at the place wasn’t even finish but we have to just leave so disappointed ☹️ especially there staff never in millionaire years I’ll go back in this place

Nice setting, great price
This was a cool place to stay. We just needed a place to stay while returning from a trip to New Zealand. I thought it would be cool to try. First off, this place takes a while to get to. It's way off the beaten path, but once you get up to it, it's a really cool setting. It's up on the side of the mountain with a great view of Apia. I understand there's a waterfall on the property down by the cabins. Our room had a great view. If you stay in the cabins, I don't think you'll get the same view. The room itself was large, but very basic. There wasn't any AC, but that isn't bad when you have a breeze up on the mountain. They had a great breakfast in the morning that was included in the room price that we had. When I first checked in, the clerk said that it wasn't included, but I showed her the e-mail, and it was taken care of. In the morning, we caught a ride down to Apia with Dave. It appears that guests can ride from the lodge to Dave's store in town in the morning and return in the evening. It was a cool place to stay.

Really nice. We stayed in the Sunset room which was huge and even had a piano. Very private. Breakfast was nice but if ur a coffee person u wont enjoy it here. Better off heading down to Milanos for a decent cuppa. They could possibly loose the common room TV as well. A little hot/cold sign on the shower as well so 5 minutes of water isnt wasted waiting for the hot. I actually got under it cold as i hate waste but my guess is most people wouldnt. A simple sign might fix this. They also need to lose the 'This is private property No Trespassers' sign just inside the turnoff. Very weird and VERY misleading. But look for the coin this place is excellent, quiet, safe and friendly. You MUST have a car here i reckon.

Do not stay here
Did not stay here as the location was to far from anywhere. My rental car was not made to drive up a steep mountain and I was not impressed at all with the service. I don't reccomend anyone staying here. So all up I lost my money and I had to pay damages towards the rental car which was damaged during the ride up the mountain. Waste of time and money.

The views were so beautiful you have to go up a very big drive way but that is expected to get the views that you have, they are working on the road to the Eco lodge which is a big job so good on them!!! the water falls are beautiful!!!for the price a nice place to stay Dave was and awesome owner it was lovely staying and they are still working on the resort I wish them well thanks for a great place to stay at a very cheap rate.

This is Samoa’s hidden gem. Overlooking Apia, the view is amazing, and despite not being as outwardly flash as other more highly priced accommodation....this was was far and away the best place we stayed. Large rooms, adequate amenities, great pool, awesome breakfast, hospitable and welcoming staff. Even a resident cat named Tiger. Incredibly cheap! Importantly, this is not reflected in the entire vibe of the place. Highly, highly recommended 😊

Dave Parker Eco Lodge has the best view in Samoa, freshest air & was just the most amazing stay for a really good price. Food is amazing, room was clean, staff are kind & the hospitality was 100%. Thank you Dave Parker for the most amazing time.

Great views, not luxury but comfortable and clean. If you want a peaceful experience in a beautiful nature full area then this is it. Pool was small but nice. Grand views to Apia. Food was tasty and reasonably priced.

Stunning view from the hill top.
We spent 2 weeks at Dave Parker Lodge, beautiful location, the view was exceptional, always enjoy our breakfast in the morning, the staff were very friendly. Very private as it is quiet and beautiful clean surroundings. Love our walks around the beautiful gardens and hearing the birds in the morning when you wake up. Dave Parker was very kind to let my mother stayed with us for a few nights, and we will forever grateful for that. Our only constructive criticism is that the two small bridges on the way to the hotel needs some work done on it, apart from that we will recommend this hotel to our friends and family and we will definitely stay there again. Thanks Dave and your staff for a lovely stay.

Great panoramic views of Apia
Enjoyed the panoramic views of Apia. Enjoyed the clouds and the Lagi e iva theme mai le tala o le vavao motif. As an Australian adjusting to the Samoan domesticity takes some getting used to. Cold showers and austere bedding is quite modest but it is value for money. Backpackers would welcome the experience, the five star treatment is asking a bit too much for the irreplaceable panoramic views of Apia. Luckily, I had a very good SUV to make the high gradient hill climb. It was well worth the stay.

Great view from up on the mountain.
I loved sitting out on the porch gazing down at Apia, the sea, and the mountains. It's also cooler up there. Dave and Co. were very friendly and helpful. One problem is the payment system. Guests do not sign for meals, so you trust them to get the right meals, which you should remember until your checkout. In fact, they had listed me for a meal I did not take. So guests should insist on signing for everything they use. Also, their credit card machine rejected my MasterCard, which I have always relied on, including in town the day before and the day after. Guests should try to bring cash in case their machine rejects your card.

Leider war der vereinbarte transfer vom flughafen nicht da, als wir ankamen. Haben uns ein taxi nehmen müssen. Obwohl das team wusste, dass wir abends anreisen war die küche geschlossen und kein abendessen mehr für uns möglich. Da ist auch nichts in der Umgebung. Das defekte wifi haben wir repariert. Trotzdem mussten wir den überteuerten preis dafür bezahlen. Eigentlich hab ich einen bungalow gebucht. Wir wurden aber "upgegradet" auf ein zimmer. Das zimmer war sehr muffelig. Polster und matratze schimmlig. Alles hat nach schimmel gestunken. Auf unsere frage nach einem besseren Zimmer oder den ursprünglich gebuchten bungalow war die Antwort, dass alles voll sei, obwohl wir nur einen anderen gast sahen. Wir bekamen dann trotzdem ein anderes zimmer, das aber nicht wesentlich besser war. Ok, der preis war günstig und das team freundlich, etwas unbeholfen. Die aussicht ist toll. Die besitzer (dave) haben wir nicht angetroffen. Zum Glück war nur eine nacht gebucht.

Very quiet and peaceful close to Apia
It took us a while to find where the lodge was and an even longer time trying to get there through the unmarked roads. The driveway when we got there was intimidating on an extremely steep hill on top of the mountain. The facilities were pretty much what you paid for at the cheapest rate however the staff and residential dog were lovely people. I would stay there again for at least one night to get away

Wonderful staff
The staff went well above their normal duties to help us. Very friendly. We highly recommend Dave parker eco. Beautiful. Peaceful surroundings . 5 degrees cooler than town so great for sleep. Amazing price so we had money freed up for car hire.

Know the Real Samoa
I booked a riverside bungalow but was accommodated in an end room of the old main weatherboard building. It was mouldy and needed a good clean, paint & repair. I'm sure the new wing is better. The view of Apia, the forest & the ocean from the deck is beautiful and to stay on a working farm is an added experience. Dave takes visitors into Apia for the day, free of charge and gives them a ride back. Friendly, helpful staff. Menu very limited; bar OK. A retro experience. You get to know Dave's family, a real Samoan experience.

Great place for us.
We enjoyed our stay. But it might not be everyone's idea of a great place. We probably had the best room in the place but the shower was cold. The whole place needs a refresh. We had already spent time in Appia so this is a place to chill out and watch the wildlife.,

Thank you for staying with us, last week we had a full house due to the teuila festival,we have hot water in all showers, unfortunately, when everyone has a shower at the same time,there's not enough hot water for every shower. We are now installing a new and bigger hot water tank. Appreciate your comments,it help us improve and replace the things that we are not aware of.

Need to fix up the road back to the hotel..the view nd the people their its good.bt the only thing i didnt like it its the road towaed the hotel.fix it up...nd believe me their will be people growling back nd stay their..the room i stay at no tv no air conditioning..bt the people very friendly..
