Usually when I am in LO, I stay at the Hilton. This time the price at the Crowne Plaza was attractive, so I made the reservation. Check in was smooth, room was good sized with a sitting area, comfortable king size bed, and the hotel and grounds were nice. However, on a Monday night when the hotel had plenty of vacancy, the clerk decided to place me in a room right above the HVAC system, on the freeway side of the hotel. Did I feel welcome? No. I suppose they could have found a noisier spot if they had pitched a tent directly on the HVAC system itself. It was LOUD, competing with the freeway and train ALL NIGHT LONG. The clerk asked me at check in if I had stayed with them previously. No. I won't be staying with them in the future either.
