I would not recommend this hotel. First off, Commerce is not a nice city, it smells like cow manure all through the city. Second off, I felt like this hotel was incredibly unprofessional in their handling of current renovations happening in their hotel.
I booked this hotel less than a month ago, yet there was no notice on the website or booking page that this hotel was under serious renovations. The entire front parking lot was blocked off by construction, there were tarps lining the hallways and entrance, and there was no basic services (water, ice, breakfast, pool, fitness center) that were promised upon booking. When we arrived, the front desk lady asked us "I assume you didn't know about the renovations?" Yes, we did not, it would have been a simple phone call or update to the booking page. She then proceeded to ask us "Do you still want to stay here?" At this point, it was 9:00 PM, where else would we stay?
The room itself was subpar, it smelled musty, but that's to be expected by the amount of construction going on within the hotel.
I'm sure this hotel will be much better once the renovations are complete, but don't bother staying until you can confirm that they are done.
