Absolutely amazing. Will be using again in the future when we can get back to Japan! Fantastic location just being a five minute walk to Sunshine City that had everything we needed, and ten minutes walk to train station that let us explore easily.

The one mistake I made was that I didn't book my entire japan trip with Dormy Inn. Very convenient locations with great value, will definitely book again!

I’ve travelled to Japan at least 2x a year before pandemic and just started to visit again. A friend rec’ed this place because I love onsen. I usually stay at Metropolitan hotel on the other side of Ikebukuro. I simply love this place! Onsen every day! I also appreciate the washing machine (I can bring less clothes!) All of the service I need from the business hotel is all here. The staff does speak some English (google translate on phone also goes a long way.) The limo bus doesn’t stop here but stops at Sunshine City Prince. Which is only 6 minute walk away. I will definitely stay here from now on! P.s. the breakfast buffet is worth the price!

Loved the hot spring with complimentary probiotic drinks, ice cream bars and late night noodle service. Room was basic but clean and adequate. Would be even better if it was closer to the train station but there is a large shopping mall down the street (Sunshine City) .

We had a great stay and visited the onsen every day/night and enjoyed the ‘already paid for but didn’t seem so” yakult in the morning and ice-cream at night before/after the onsen soak. Half-portion ramen was also available if you’re hungry for some warm comfort food on a cold winter night or before you hit the sack. A rather disappointment was the cleanliness of the room carpet where many strands of hair of all lengths and colors were uncovered every day and night. Not sure if it had ever been vacuumed. Breakfast was one of the best we had in the past 13 days and 4 different hotels.

The Dormy Inn Ikebukuro is convenient to Ikebukuro Station and so many locations for anime lovers. Sunshine City is literally steps away. While the rooms are plain and small, typical for Tokyo, the beds are comfy and the rest of the hotel is awesome. The hot spring baths are located on the top floor and have both an inside bath and outside stone bath that is open to the elements. Fortunately, there are no neighboring buildings tall enough to see inside. On the same floor, being Ikebukuro, there is a room filled with Manga and anime figures for guests to enjoy. There are free snacks to enjoy throughout the day, including a yogurt drink in the morning and ice cream and soba in the evening. They also put out a very generous spread for breakfast. You can easily make it a multi-course meal. I definitely enjoyed my stay and will definitely keep it and the Dormy Inn chain in mind for future trips to Japan.
