From the moment I entered, I felt welcomed by the staff. My friends, staying in another room, left early the next morning. They told me that the hotel scheduled a taxi and made them a to-go breakfast, because they had an early flight. Wow! The bathroom was great. The room spacious and quiet. The Central AC was amazing, especially after spending a week on a yacht. I loved the 24-hr front desk service. They always were available for a quick question, and always friendly. I had a cold, and the front desk agent brought extra tea to my room, early in the morning. I liked the short 5-10min walk to the main stores and restaurants. Felt nice to not be in the middle of everything. But still close. Overall, I was really lucky to find this gem. Is was a last minute booking. My 2 nights there were really enjoyable.

It is a fine hotel
It is a fine hotel and about 15 minutes walk to Old Town. But, the hotel provides shuttle for 5 Euro.

Best Front Desk Ever
The elegant woman at the reception desk was more helpful than any tour guide. She gave us excellent recommendations and warned us what to look out for. When there was a mechanical problem with our room vent, they immediately moved us to an upgraded room. They went above and beyond to help us out. Breakfast was excellent as well, with gluten free bread provided to the one of us who needs it.

Clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, nice rooms, but no outdoor and no lobby/sitting area, convention location, next to cafe and supermarket, and about a 15-20 min walk to the old town center.

Lovely hotel, great location.
Fantastic location just a short walk into old town Split and the front. Staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded on arrival which was a pleasant surprise! Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. Room was lovely and spacious and clean. Bathroom was good too, had everything you needed and all very clean. Would recommend this hotel. It also had parking which was helpful for us. We paid to park in a hotel space as there was no space in the free car park right by the hotel. However this was not a problem for us, the spaces are right outside the hotel so very convenient.

Away from the maddening seaside crowds but within close enough walking distance. Great local pub next to hotel and extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. The hotel is rather old but very well kept. I like old.

Good Value for the Price
Hotel staff were friendly and beds were reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was ok but could have had more meats. Shower doors did not seal so water went everywhere. Maids were helpful. Area around hotel was a little dirty

Close to the harbour but far enough away
The hotel staff were amazingly friendly and cheerful from the lady who cared for the roo, the lady in the breakfast room, the ladies and gents on reception. About 20 minute stroll to the harbour area so far enough away for a quieter experience.

Lovely hotel, that I'd definitely visit again.
On arrival to the hotel, reception staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a slight mix up with the room (likely miscommunication during booking between a twin room and double), but this was immediately sorted out by the staff. Room was comfortable and clean, in a quiet area. Breakfast provided a wide choice of cooked and continental, which we both enjoyed. We travelled as a party of 2 females, and felt safe walking to and from the hotel. With the hotel only being less than 10mins away to the sea front (which is where the main promenade is and where you can catch ferries etc to the islands). Would stay again and recommend to others. Excellent stay!

Outstanding Service, Well-kept, Cozy & Charming!
Delightful experience! Knowledgeable, friendly, attentive staff that seemingly tremendously enjoy what they do. From the front desk, to the room service and the restaurant - staff at Globo delivers great service, make you feel welcome and very comfortable. In every large city parking is a hassle - not at Globo - a reserved parking spot just steps from the Hotel's entrance has been immediately provided/attached to our reservation. Parking was to our surprise free of charge?? Our room was neat, clean, comfortable, quite large for European standards; well-ventilated, no stale air; washrooms sparkling clean, room temperature pleasant; just nothing to complaint about. Had a great sleep in quiet environment despite high occupancy in the hotel. All in all, great experience that makes us already plan our next visit to Split, hotel Globo - indeed, we are planning the longer stay next time! Great service, quality, atmosphere, hospitality - for very reasonable price!

Nothing is too much trouble at this hotel
The staff at this hotel could be used as a case study in customer service. Nothing is too much trouble, and there is only a desire to make guests feel welcome, comfortable and like old friends. I don't think I heard the word 'no', but if I did, the smile which accompanied it would have erased it from my memory. The location is good for getting to the Old Town by foot, and there is an excellent courtesy electric vehicle, with a very helpful driver, which took us to the departure points for a couple of trips which the staff had arranged for us, and to the airport bus on our final day. Overall, we felt more like old friends than guests.

a bit of peace and quiet in Split, Croatia.
this was a very, very quiet hotel. After shutting good windows, there was a wooden shade outside that could be brought down. This kept out any noise from passing cars, people walking by in the morning talking loudly. Staff couldn't have been nicer especially the woman who was in charge of the included breakfast. Good experience all around.

Amazing staff - will seriously help you with anything you need, at any hour of the day or night. The breakfast was really wonderful, there were many fresh/local options. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the old town area (~10-15 min.) but if that doesn't deter you, then this is easily the best hotel in the area!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had them take us to the Old Town via the golf/electric car two different times. Although it was an easy walk to and from old town.

Welcome respite
Great value and such a relief from the press of the Dubrovnik crowds. A bit away from the tourist scene but definitely walkable. The front desk women were lovely and the quality, quantity and breakfast variety was wonderful. If you are looking for a pristine town experience, then maybe you should reconsider Split. Remember, most Croatians earn much less than the average American, and this is demonstrated by the graffiti and the gray, grimy Soviet-era buildings away from the Old Town. The hotel Globo however, is lovely and well kept and will meet your expectations of a nice hotel.
