This is a clean budget hotel with parking 20 minute walk from Central Rouen. Great for a stay over on route to elsewhere.

Lino floor in the bedroom! I have never seen a hotel with this old fashioned flooring, so that was not a great start. This was accompanied by woodchip wall paper, which I haven't on any wall for decades! Very poor. The bed also had a plastic mattress protector which is really uncomfortable and unpleasant The staff were nice and the air-conditioning worked, so that was good.

This property is undergoing renovation to the stairways making them quite dangerous. Added to this, the elevator was out of action. We were situated on the fourth floor, I booked this hotel as I have difficulty walking and thought that the lift would suit our needs. In my opinion, any occupancy above the first floor (which is where the breakfast facilities are) should not be in use for safely reasons.

1 night stop over
Stop over on way to Bordeaux - great for 1 night with secure underground parking. Rooms not fancy, but very clean and bed/pillows really good quality and comfortable. 20 mins walk to the cathedral where all the restaurants/bars are. Wouldn’t stay for a week but great for a stopover.

Well located opposite a commercial centre with cinema and dining options. Also a tram runs to the main town every few minutes. The hotel itself was a little disappointing. Clean, but needs attention. Holes in the curtains, no kettle, shower positioned too low and barely any room to sit on the loo! The beds were very narrow, but comfy. We stayed in an ibis budget only the night before and found this to be far better. I would stay again, but was a little disappointed.

In our hotel we do not provide kettle in the room, however the bar is open 24hrs a day, concerning the bathroom it is not a real tub where you can lay down, that is why we call it a shower and not a bath tub. Nice hotel, poor area
The hotel and staff were absolutely fine, but the surrounding area was disappointing. We had difficulty finding a suitable restaurant for our evening meal.

Convenient location for a cheap stay near centre
Convenient location just a couple of tram stops from the old centre. Tram station right opposite hotel. Parking ok (but underground hotel carpark vehicle height less than 2m, so if you have a roofbox you'll have to park outside which is by meter). The hotel is what you would expect from an Ibis - it does the job, and this one was particularly well priced when we stayed compared to the central Ibis.

Room very small but if all you want is some where to lay your head really doesn't matter about 15 min walk from the centre of Rouen. The room was clean, but tired and the vacuuming could have been better ie dusty at the edges and behind door. Popular with tours as there were coaches outside both mornings. Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't have one. Wouldn't rule out booking again but would probably look to be near the centre of town. Also hard to work out how to pull up outside, finding it not hard but we did have to park up on a side street, and go in and ask, as did the couple signing in in front of us. One bonus was the secure parking

I have stayed at this hotel before, so was surprised when I had a problem checking in. Hotels.com resolved this, however, and the rest of my stay wss fine. The room was immaculate, though small. The garage is spacious and convenient. There is a tram station just outside with trams to the heart if Rouen.

The hotel is basic but clean, staff were friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is quite near the centre of Rouen (15 min or so) and the underground parking is a bonus.

Advisable not to go Sunday evenings!
Room adequate but very cramped -cheap rate. No hot meal/food was obtainable at hotel. We went to bed .hungry after a long day`s drive. young man alone on reception very nice and apologetic ...but we noticed he had a meal brought down for him when we were refused one.

Clean and convenient...easy walk to central Rouen
My wife and I had a comfortable 2 night stay at IBIS Rouen Centre Rive Gauche. We had a car and based on previous comments I made sure to see where the driveway was located (using Google Street View) and had no problem getting in. Check in was quick and friendly and room was basic and small but clean and comfortable. Wifi was good. Only one electrical outlet (unless you unplugged the TV). Was about a 15-20 minute easy walk across the river to the main historical part of Rouen. Would stay again.

Overnight but poor service
No one on the desk on arrival so waiting for five minutes before seen too, and was welcomed with a 'yes' (no apologies or hello)! On the whole, typical Ibis - could be in any city anywhere in the world, they're all the same! What made this one stand out though was the staff attitude throughout - no one welcomes you and the staff really couldn't give a hoot.

Good inexpensive hotel
Its an Ibis red so you know what you are getting. Its a little way out of the city centre but right by a tram stop and a commercial centre with a supermarket, restaurants etc. Staff were helpful, rooms had air conditioning although the decoration was a bit tired the bed was comfy and the shower was good. There is parking but its a little tricky to spot - go through the traffic lights and turn immediately right on to what appears to be the pedestrian pavement follow this slightly left & you will see on the right a clearly marked underground garage entrance.

Brilliant for a short stay
Usual high standard for an Ibis, good sized room, everything in good condition, very good area 10-15 minutes walk to main city centre (could also get a tram from just outside entrance). Staff were excellent, very helpful with directions, restaurants etc. no complaints/issues whatsoever

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but the beds are very comfortable. The hotel is located next to a nice shopping mall. Surrounding neighbourhood is not great, but it's good for a one-night stopover. Parking is 6 Euros.

Good hotel. Arrival by car interesting!
Hotel easy to find using Satnav but access very complicated. You can see the hotel in front of you but you must bear right (sign posted) just before hotel, then immediately ahead across median and left onto carriageway. Hotel entrance is now 20 metre away on right but across pedestrian walkway. Be brave - drive onto the pedestrian walkway to door of hotel. Garage is just past entrance on right - all on a pedestrian area. Hotel is fine and access to city easy by fast tram directly outside. Two stops and 50 metre walk bring you to main street. Otherwise 20monute easy walk.

Ibis Hotel Rouen
It was hard to find the hotel entrance; had to drive on sidewalk. Parking in the garage was difficult, and there was inadequate lighting. The room was small, but one side of the bed was against a sloping eave which made it impossible to stand up without hitting one's head. Wi-fi signal was weak. The room had only two bath towels; no face towels. On the plus side, the location is convenient, and the staff were all very polite and helpful. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and a good value for the price. Short walk to city center, or take the Metro which stops right at the hotel.

difficult to find!
Hotel was fine but very difficult to find in Rouen, due to roadworks closing the entrance road, and actual entrance to hotel quite difficult to locate. We had two rooms one for myhusband and I and one for our 15 year old daughter, one was excellent but the other smelled very heavily of cigarettes which was quite disapointing. rest of hotel was fine and staff very polite and friendly, breakfast lovely.

It is an older ibis and is looking a bit tired. However, the room was clean and we had a great nights sleep. Annoy fault it. Location was god- we had a nice walk into the main town..

Standard Ibis hotel let down by front desk staff. Close to a mall with supermarket and usual mall food cakes. Not too far from downtown which has is well worth checking out. Overall a nice town to visit for a day. Stay on another hotel where the staff like their job's!

Basic accommodation, nothing more.
Stayed for 3 nights in August 2012. The hotel is not in the nicest area and was difficult to find as the roads around the area are very confusing and chaotic. We managed to get lost each time we came back to the hotel in the car. Although it has its benefits in being within walking distance of the city centre we were quite scared on our walk home! The secure parking is good. The reception area was nice and has obviously been modernised. The room had everything you needed but was small and quite shabby with a an old dirty looking carpet. The bed was very hard. The bathroom was clean but again could have done with a fresh lick of paint and an extractor fan as there was the beginnings of some mould in one of the corners. Breakfast was standard, worth 9 euros for the convenience as we didnt find many other places to eat nearby, but not 9 euros worth of food. In summary - good parking, horrible area, shabby room in need of a refurb. Basic accommodation which provides everything you might need but goes no further.

Great location, shopping centre and restaurants over the road. Walk through the centre and out the other side and turn left, lots of great cafes n restaurants. Or walk into city centre, amazing building and restaurants and lots of shops. Extremely helpful hotel staff.

Good usual standard from an IBIS hotel, clean functional well specced rooms. A good 15 minute walk to the old town and not a particulary pleasant walk. Lots of eating and drinking options in place du marche vieux. Car park a bit tight. Overal good value.
