Staff were excellent, room was very nice. Would’ve preferred a mini fridge that was empty to use vs stocked with $$$$ liquor n snacks. The restaurants within were very good, but wise to make reservations. Be aware that valet parking is the only option. Did not use pool, so cannot comment. But many lovely sights to see! Friendly Canadians!

Alex was amazing, he was our valet guy and started our trip off with kindness and consideration. He remembered our names and was a perfect start to our trip! Thanks buddy! The hotel is beautiful, and literally close to everything. Looking forward to staying here again.

The castle is gorgeous, clean and conveniently located beside Parliament Hill. Gorgeous views of the Parliament as well as of The Ottawa River . Everyone working there was really nice and polite. The only challenge was the valet parking, when it is busy it can take 40 mins to get the car back.

Can’t beat location. Excellent views and staff was awesome. Old world charm with such a historic building too. Yet had modern conveniences.

I enjoyed my stay. Very good hotel. Few things to improve, the mirrors in the room were very dusty. The fan in the washroom wasn’t working. The staff in the bar were not as pleasant as others. Overall it was a very good stay.

Very disappointed with the Ottawa Fairmont! Stayed in a Deluxe King Room, that was super dusty and had an awful dirty socks smell not worth the $514 per night! Not recommended at all! Look somewhere else if you want comfort and clean room! The staff were cold and not helpful!

Valet service was bad. We checked in Friday night and left Sunday morning. No self service for electric car so the Valet service was going to take care of the parking and the charging of the car. Sunday morning, it took 1 hour to get the car, not charged so we couldn't go back to Montreal. I had to stop to fast charged the car so it took another hour and a half. The valet service and the charging of the car was longer than my travelling time. The worst Valet service ever. The manager said he would refund the 2 days of valet parking so let's see if that gets done.

Was not a pleasant stay. Went with my two kids and mother for Mother’s Day and paid for a double room. It was a single room the size of a closet. Wanted to bring the kids swimming, and found out we needed reservations. The pool could only accommodate 10 swimmers at a time, but there were only five in the pool and five fully dressed along the side of the pool. For $460 a night it was AWFUL!

We love the location, but we are very dissappointed with the room: dust on tables, as though they were never wiped; crack in one of the drinking glasses; ice machine broken - no ice; no complimentary slippers or bathrobe; old bathtub; no useable fridge, inconvenient overnight parking...cracks on walls, torn wall paper...restaurant menu did not look appealing, we are quite dissappointed.

Unfortunately the property is extremely understaffed. The front desk had one person working in a very busy checkin day and throughout and many issues were had with checkin and questions throughout the stay. The hotel itself is beautiful but service is not the Fairmont standard

Beautiful property within a walkable distance to restaurants, shops and of course, Parliament Hill. Clean and spacious rooms designed with lots of intricate details. It was lacking in some areas, for example, the room did not have a fridge or microwave which was quite inconvenient, especially since we have kids. Also, they misplaced our luggage which took nearly 30 minutes to get to our room. We also used the valet service, which took another 30 minutes, which we didn't realize. There's a cheaper parking garage right behind the building that we should have used instead of valet had we not been so tired. Anyways, aside from these inconveniences, it was still worth the stay!

Overpriced, internet, breakfast parking not even included. Inside the lobby and around is beautiful with history but over rated. Pool is not small kids friendly. Parking is only valet overpriced and you get a waiver after the key drop off that theif and damages are not their responsibility….
