"Very clean and very comfortable. They are very vague about you putting everything back. Does it mean you have to wash all of your dishes and put them back exactly? Communication was lacking. Of the two emails I sent, I never got a response. I left some stuff there and asked if it was found and they decided not to answer me. "We booked the hotel the day of the trip as we had change plans due to Typhoon Haishen. When we entrance to the hotel was blocked with a rope and they did not answer the phone. There was noone to get any information, we did not get a cancellation or a notification. "Great location if you’re visiting Hyotan Onsen etc. En-suite showers are a little small, and the hot water isn’t very hot (which is strange for a hotel with a hot spring). "Very special property that we loved. We stayed in January and esp loved the onsen and subfloor heating. Check in was easy enough because there was the option of online pre-registration. The road to the house was windy but not too bad - note that the GPS in the rental car may not show you the way. We used Google maps and got there without difficulty. We were thankful to have a 4WD and snow tires, because there was ice on parts of the road. Highly recommend the place!"

"We absolutely loved our stay here. The best part other than our awesome view was the shower! I loved the water pressure. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. It was a 12 minute walk from Oita Station, and there was a Lawson around the corner. We also got free breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious. The room was spacious but the balcony was the star of the room. Would definitely stay here again."
