We ended up leaving the property and staying somewhere else. After being on hold with your agent for a VERY LONG time, had to walki to the front desk to speak with the employee to verify our complaints while your agent stayed on the line. He said what your agent needed to have verified in order to get our money refunded. WHICH YOU HAVE NOT DONE YET!!!!

The property is in disrepair. They are renting out rooms that are half finished. Dirty fingerprints everywhere. Dirty windows. Hole in the bathroom ceiling where the fsn should be. Upside, new bed & bedding.

We have reached out to Expedia and have requested a partial refund for your stay. Total of 32.40 that's 15.00 er night off room charge plus tax. Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We do have a gym however due to our renovations it is not accessible. Ice machine, & pop vending machines are located at end far end of walkway near the office section. If you contacted the front desk, they should have been able to get another refrigerator to your room. We apologize for any inconvenience to you.

I booked this hotel about 8 pm because it was convenient location. When I arrived at the motel shortly before midnight, the property said they did not receive the booking and said it was on me to fix it. (Despite the fact that I had a confirmation number.) Expedia called them TWICE trying to straighten it out. The hotel blamed Expedia, but the clerk also said this has happened before. In all my many bookings with Expedia, I have never had a problem, so I found this strange. Anyway, after trying to straighten this out for over an hour, we were able to cancel the booking and left.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are a little confused as to what happened as our records indicate that you made the reservation it came through to our system at 8:46 pm. The desk clerk checked you in & you signed the registration card with your name on it at 9:46. Your Visa card was given to the desk clerk & approved for the stay. If we didn't have that information in the system we never would have been able to check you in. Whatever the issue was we apologize & hope your time spent in Missoula was enjoyable.

We did not stay at the Red Lion at all. The room smelled so very strongly of bleach there was no way we could have slept in the room. The front desk person processed a refund for us.

Please accept our apologies for the issue you had. Our housekeepers are not supposed to clean with bleach. We have other approved disinfectants they should be using.

Pictures on the website do not even remotely portray current condition of the property. It is a run down dump. We opted to stay elsewhere because it appears and felt very unsafe and disgusting.

Good for the price, but a little rough around the edges. Due for a reno. Breakfast offerings were limited. But you can never go wrong with pancake printer pancakes.

We are very sorry you were given a room that wasn't very clean. If you contacted the front desk they would have been able to move you to another room that was remodeled. Unfortunately when guests arrive our system automatically picks the room & we do our best to try & move you to one of the remodeled rooms unless we are busy.

Central heating broke and we could not stay there. I only found out when I called to let the front desk know that we were going to be arriving very late in the evening and the receptionist said, "oh, actually, you can't stay here anyway." He then told me to get ahold of expedia to get a refund processed and the manager would not permit the refund, so I'm out the $68. No one was rude to me, but pretty lame and I will never rely on this business every again.

Lesley, we do want to apologize it was our hot water heater that went out that day. No hot water in the building. I'm sorry that our desk clerk may not have communicated with you the right wording. He did write down in the comment that he told you to contact Expedia to get your refund. As you booked & paid for your room with them. Please contact them about getting that back..

There was hair in sink, on the floor, and everywhere. Ceiling in bathroom was falling apart. Chipped paint on wall, need to be swept badly.

Our stay here was not the best. Upstairs from our room was noisy all night. Like they were pacing. Couldn’t figure out the heater. Pretty sure there was mold around the bathroom fan that did not work. There was an ironing board and no iron. We had three pillows in a king size bed.

We apologize for the inconvenience, we recently remodeled most of our queen rooms & turned them into kings. Unfortunately, our order for new pillows just came in. All kings will have 4 pillows once we get everything finished. If you called the front desk they should have been able to handle the issues you had with the heater & the guest above you. We hope your time in Missoula was enjoyable.

I chose this hotel because of the price, won’t do that again. The front desk gentleman walked into our room with no warning, no I didn’t have the deadbolt locked because we just came in. All he said was oh wrong room….? No coffee pot in the room either. We heard sirens all night long, an idiot walking around with a guitar at 6 am…no thanks. We will not return.

Mandy, I'm very sorry to hear about your experience with us. I talked to my desk clerks & informed them of your situation. They are always supposed to knock before entering a room just in case they do have the wrong room. We're not sure who was walking around at 6:00 AM playing their guitar had this been reported to the front desk we may have been able to get that guest to return to his room. I have given you a discount on your reservation & a total of 43.20 has been put back on the credit card

There was someone hair stuck inside the blow dryer, the bathroom sink barely let water out. The guy when checked in didn’t tell me there was a $25 deposit, so my card got charged for more than i had expected, without notice.

If you travel at all just know almost all hotels authorize your credit card for an incidental fee. Your card upon check out was charged the total your room was booked at & the extra 25.00 will eventually go any as it was only pending not an actual charge.

They are updating the rooms so our room was ok. The cleaning staff is doing a horrible job. Our tub was dirty and along the walls and corners were filthy. If you're going to update, start with a thorough cleaning first. Then get good housekeepers.

Not terrible, just mediocre
The room was clean enough, but very dated. The TV was so old that the screen was washed out and the volume changed from channel to channel. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Only one garbage can, and it was a small one in the bathroom. It was a low price for an overnight stay, but you get what you pay for. Next time I'm going the extra $$$ to get a nicer room.

You get what you pay for I guess
The motel is definitely outdated. Was clean though. The buffet breakfast was not really a buffet. Had pancakes refrigerated burritos and sandwiches and cereal. So not really a buffet. Had to slam the room door really hard to get it to close. When the heater is on the window drapes would move and everyone can look in your room so i had to wedge a pillowup to keep the privacy. Was woke up on my last night at 1130 by an employee trying to get in my room and said he didn't know anyone was in the room. Wouldn't have been a big deal except that i had to get up at 345 to catch my flight. Was a cheap motel so i guess what did i expect. Probably would pay the extra 30 to stay in a nicer hotel.

Get what you pay for $90/night
The facility is in fair to poor shape. We had to move rooms because electronic lock on door did not lock. The room we moved to had difficulty unlocking. I made 3 trips to front desk to get these resolved. Most outlets in room only had one outlet working so you couldn't charge phones or have a lamp if something else plugged in.The staff did the best they could but most everything is very dated. The rooms were clean and the beds fairly new. The breakfast had healthy choices.

The clerk in training was very pleasant. When I asked directions from the manager in regards to the best walking route to the football stadium he was very short and snide!! It took another customer to give the safest walking directions for us. The door to the room was very difficult to open.

The property seems a bit run down to me. Not sure if it's the current owners or if these owners are trying to fix it up. The bed was comfortable, it was pretty quiet and the location was close to downtown, but I feel the property itself needs a lot of work and upkeep.

This location is very convenient to St Pat’s hospital. However, the hard surface floors in the room were not clean near the walls or under the beds. The shower tiles were moldy & did not appear clean. The outside leaves had not been removed and the outside trash bins remained full of the same KFC bucket for 4 nights. The bedding was clean and fresh appearing.
