I have stayed with The Watermark in VA about 3 different times and each time the customer service and cleanliness gets worse.
Pros: the parking situation is very convenient but expensive. The room layouts are nicely done and have a great view. Modern keys and very easy to access all amenities. The Perch at your disposal.
Cons: terrible customer service, rooms haven’t been cleaned properly. The kitchen manager Luis is very rude and incompetent person.
The room we got was not cleaned properly and smelled horrible. When it was the first day for breakfast during our stay I showed up at 622 am assuming it started at 6 and saw the doors open for the breakfast area. However getting in I was informed by the ladies it opens in 8 mins (630 am) I decided to wait there look out the windows and relax due to it being only 8 mins. After 8 mins the same lady came up to me to inform me I can get breakfast however while heading to grab the plate I was abruptly told by the Manager Luis that it opens at 7 and I have to leave. He was very rude and didn’t even bother asking why I was getting a plate when one of his own staff members told me to go ahead. He from that day on was very condescending and rude Check in process is also very slow and painful.
We visit Tyson frequently and have chosen The Watermark many times but we will not be coming back due to the terrible experience the last two visits. Do yourself a favor and look around there’s many better options especially for the rate you pay
