They had good bagels with the free breakfast, the only issue, and the hotel couldn’t do much about this, is that the power went out for a few hours most likely due to the high winds that night.

When I arrived the electricity was out and the manager was on the phone with the power company. The way he talked to the poor woman on the phone and the way he talked to me was awful. The lady could not give him an actual time in which the electricians would arrive and he would not accept that as an answer. It was 2 degrees outside so I asked for a refund in order to go stay somewhere else. He told me no and that I need to wait for the power to come back on. I told him that it was 6 o’clock and with no exact time frame I was not going to wait in my car for the power to come on. Another guest came into the office and the manager and his began to argue. He refused to give anyone a refund. I understand that the situation was out of his control but the way he handled it and expected us to stay in a cold, dark room was unacceptable. I am still trying to get my money back but Expedia has to have confirmation from the manager and there is not way that he will agree to a refund. Unbelievable.

The manager is absolutely terrible, and legitimately lied about have completed the ADA training and requires anyone with a service dog to show their certification proof, which is completely illegal. The bathroom had mold growing all over it which I had to bathe my 5 year old daughter in a tub surrounded with the mold. A mouse was sitting right on the counter behind the continental breakfast bar. Pay a few bucks more and stay literally ANYWHERE else. This place is a complete dump, I’ve never been so disappointed with a motel in my life.

This motel is completely sub-standard. The first room they put us in had a broken wall heater and a space heater to replace it. I don’t even think it’s legal to do that. The room smelled. The second room they put us in had a working heater and smelled a bit better, but overall everything is run down, and in complete disrepair. Walls are not fully painted, fixtures are old and beat up. The water in the shower barely got warm enough to use it, and there’s no smoke alarm in the room. The only good thing I have to say is the bed was very comfortable.

It's okay.
Hotel was good for the price and management is nice. Hotel is pretty simple. As others have pointed out, the heater is very loud, and it seems to be too hot or too cold, it doesn't stay in a consistent temperature. Breakfast is basically coffee and toast/bagels. Also, the parking lot was very icy and slippery, but it had not snowed for weeks, so management needs to have a little tractor or hire someone to take care of the ice. I almost ran into another car since the ice was so slick. So in summary, the hotel is fine if you get a good deal. t really depends on how much you are saving compared to others.

Great location, but needs major renovation/remodel. Hot tub has been out of service for months, we had to request another room because the mattress was old and caved in, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Manager made excuse that “we recently bought the place” and suggested that “next winter it will be completely different”. He actually asked me if I knew someone that could fix the hot tub! Our alternate room was far more adequate, but the place needs significant work.Very misleading

Not comfortable. Very dirty, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, probably not very comfortable because I felt like some sort of large parasite would crawl out of the floor at any moment. The management and employees need a lesson in ADA laws.

The hot water comes out brown. It takes 10-15 minutes of the water running to become hot. Towels are laundered but stained. Some towels labeled UCLA Med. No insulation around the door to keep the cold out. Curtains torn hanging irregular. Room safe broken/inoperable. Only Ice maker is a counter top in the office, capacity when filled of one square ice bucket full. The bed was comfortable and the sheets where clean. Onsite owner couple, the Man being extremely nice his wife not so much.

It is a very simple motel style hotel. The price, like everything else in Mammouth, is pricy for what you get. Good location, close to the Village. The best part is what it seems the family/ management team that are very sweet and accommodating.

Hotel manager and staff are nice. Breakfast is good especially boiled eggs and muffin. Coffee and hot chocolate are available all days in front desk office. Room is clean and cozy with affordable price comparing to others. Location is very good closed to main lodge. Free shuttle red line is available around the corner to go to main lodge up to the mountain. Famous bakery Schat’s bakery is around the corner across the street.

we went last month to see fall colors,stayed for two nights...it"s a nice hotel.Breakfast was excellent,staffs wear very good.Location is very near to lakes. Was skeptical after seeing some recent reviews, however Our stay was really pleasant.

This place is a dump! Everything is run down and worn! no fan or heater in the bathroom! They used cheap detergent to clean the room so chemicals reek whenever i go into the room! maybe that smells block other odors! the floor, staircase creeks whenever people walk by and you can hear people next door conversations as well as when they flush the toilets! the breakfast room is dirty, fruits are all bruised and spoiled .. staff came out in their sweat pants! WILL NEVER RETURN and WILL NOT RECOMMEND this motel! Motel 6 is cleaner and offer more professional experience in the same price range!

Room made Motel 6 look like the Ritz. Very dated, ceiling tile falling out, caulking in bathroom was so badly done that even I could have done better, rug frayed all around the edges. So little toilet paper I had to ask for more at checki in. But the bed was super comfortable...

The location made it easy to walk to local shops and restaurants. This place was dirty. The power went out at 3 am with no reserve generator. The room had no heat or hot water. When I went to the front desk the owners sent their young teenage daughter to talk to the guests about the issues. Poor communication and willingness to talk to the guests staying at the property.

The whole place requires an upgrade and the outside needs a tidy up and repaint the inside requires the same, windows rattle in the wind and curtains were faded and very thin letting the light through in some places. Breakfast was very basic and the whole place requires a good clean

Hotel operator wanted us to know that if we had chosen to book with him directly, we would have better reservation options. Room was too small for queen bed. Shower was difficult to use. Sink was missing one knob to turn on the water. You had to remove it from hot to reposition on the cold, or vice versa. At breakfast, hard cooked eggs were provided, but they were frozen to the block of ice they were resting upon. The egg ripped in half, and tasted freeze dried. Pool was filthy. Room curtains black out liner had too many holes to count. Stayed two nights. Had to wait until nearly 6 pm for maid service. Maid seemed nice.

Owner was very accommodating with my family needs. I booked over the phone with a traveling agency and the caller failed to put in that we were 4 adults bringing 2 small dogs and 1 service dog. Owners were very flexible and accommodating with our needs. We only ran into an issue when he asked for proof of our service animal certification and registration, saying it was required but he let it go and didn’t charge extra. The free breakfast in the morning is more than just prepackaged pastries and they were very inviting.

I love the 2 night stay, everything was convenient. The staff/management took really good care of us. We were provided everything we asked for. My favorite part is the bed. The comfortable beddings helped us get some very good sleep. Breakfast is good.

Worst customer service ever experienced
Saying that the people running this place are very unfriendly is the least. The hotel is also in a very poor condition which does not justify the high rates of the rooms. The key card ddid not seem to work well so I checked with the reception. I was told I need to try opening the door at least 3 times before it can work. When we were finally able to get it we found some nuts on the floor, so I am really not sure the room was cleaned. We were also traveling with a service dog and the manager demanded a service dog certification. This is completely illegal and the manager of the hotel is in no position to do so. I refused to do so and was therefore charged a fee. I have filed a complaint with the ADA and am waiting to hear back from them. People running a business should know these regulations and what they cannot ask customers for. Run away from this place!
