Staff are friedndly and helpful. Decent size room. Big lobby. Good breakfast. Accessible. Walkable to city centre. The only negative is that the bathroom was not cleaned properly.

The staff really made the stay most enjoyable. We travelled with 2 young kids and they surprised them with popcorn kernels and a popcorn machine. It was the little touches of thoughtfulness and professionalism that really made the stay great!

Professional and pleasant staff. Clean and spacious rooms and with little noise from the outside. The rooftop bar is nice and the pool and spa area on the 3rd floor is very nice although the corridors leading to the area could do with some freshening up. The hotel is big and busy, but it never felt crowded and we did not have to wait for long for assistance.

We enjoyed our stay at the Altis Grand immensely, and are looking forward to returning for another stay in the future!! The staff were very helpful, and the hotel was excellent!! The spa was totally booked when I tried to make an appt., so I'm hoping to try that out next time we visit!!

We stayed at this hotel for four days, it was okay. It is close to the main street, that has designer shopping stores. Overall, it is in a quiet and clean location. I found the room to be small, and the carpet was dirty. The water in the bathroom shower/bathtub was extremely hot, I almost burnt myself, as I was trying to adjust the temperature. On the third day our room did not get cleaned until 8:30pm, and that was after mentioning it several times. Some of the staff members were nice, but others had attitude.

Good location. Good room size. Staff were friendly. Parts of the room little were a little scruffy, scuffs etc. But overall it is a good big hotel in a good location. It's not perfection but is is good value and I would stay there again. It feels a little retro which I like.

Everything about our stay was great. Due to location we found a few restaurants we might not have found if we were nearer the seafront. About 20 mins to walk to the Elevator or Railway station. Metro 5 mins away if you don’t like to walk. Staff and facilities excellent, we left some of our clothes draped over the chairs and on rerun housekeeping had folded them up and put them neatly on the side, wrapped up cables and placed them neatly. Breakfast had a great choice can’t fault anything. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Only thing on Lisbon pavements are uneven and have potholes saw a few people had twisted ankles so take care. Great city very hilly but rewarding.

Problem Solved - Couldn't ask for more!
We arrived at the Altis Grand Hotel and quickly checked in. On unpacking we discovered that the tap in the bathroom was leaking and threatened to flood the bathroom. I reported the problem to reception. Within 10 minutes we had someone at our room to repair the tap. We were then offered a free upgrade to a better room as a way of apology, which wasn't really necessary but very much appreciated. We certainly couldn't fault the service we received. The hotel was comfortable and well located, slightly out of the main area but easily within walking distance of everything. We can certainly highly recommend the Altis Grand Hotel for anyone visiting Lisbon and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Very nice hotel with well appointed rooms. There is a bit of airport noise but it isn’t that disturbing. The quality of the facility outweighs that.

Initially we were not sure about this hotel when we arrived it seemed a little outdated for a 5 star hotel. However we changed our minds quickly, this was our first time travelling with a 3 month old baby. The staff at this place are amazing, the biggest asset to the hotel. From the front desk, roof top bar, the hotel manager and staff at the restaurant, we could not have asked for more, customer service wise. We really liked the vibe at the rooftop restaurant and the bar. The restaurant also had good veggie options (the gnocci was really good). We also had a good experience at the breakfast buffet the staff were really attentive and made an effort to interact with our baby which was heartwarming. After initially feeling this hotel wasn't for us (first day) we would definitely stay here again, especially good for families (just a note kids and babies are not allowed in the pool after 4pm which is mentioned on their website and understandable.

My room was odd with 3 single beds even though I asked for a queen or king. Even the 2 singles pushed together had the crack in the middle so was forced to sleep on one side only. The TV when turned on had a different guest name being welcomed. The lighting was so horrific I kept lights off most of the time. Bed side lamps had bright high wattage white lights with exposed bulbs through a wood mesh shade that cast shadows all over the place. It had wall to wall carpet which was gross for a hotel room floor. It smelled musty. There are no outlets by the besides so your forced to use the one at a desk. The mini bar fridge was dirty. No light inside the closet that the mini bar and coffee maker was in so you had to use your cel phone light to see what you were doing. The curtains were coming off the tracks. Pulling the blackouts was hard and was behind two other layers of curtains (sheers and decorative). Why the main front curtain wasn’t the blackout, is beyond me. You had to reach underneath to find the blackout and pull. It’s a mess. They need to renovate and get someone in there who understands common sense Hotel design.
