"This was a girls weekend for my mom, her sister and my friend. The property is very nice and there is a nice place to sit where you can watch the boats pass by. The large picture window in the living room is also great for this. The seating in the living room is great for relaxing and visiting. Appreciated the timely and clear communication with the host."

"Large house with lots of room! We are a family of 7 and there was definitely room for more. The views are great and falling asleep with the windows open listening to the waves was perfect! The house is under a bit of construction but we didn’t mind, nothing that prevents you from living life normally. The yard is in need of a clean up but again nothing that prevents you from living life. The beach is beautiful!!"

"We loved the house and all of its charm. The view was amazing. Loved watching the freighters on their way to/from the Locks. We were there during both hot days (85) & cold (40). The ceiling fans kept the place very comfortable during the heat & the furnace kept us cozy when the weather turned. Great location with an amazing view! Convenient to gas, places to eat, groceries, and more. Host was responsive & helpful. We would love to return again!"

"Great place to stay for a bit! Bedding and furniture were clean and in good repair. The house smelled wonderful. Hostess made the place seem like a safe place to unwind from the busy city life. The only thing that I would have love to have was some patio furniture. But it is early in the season so hopefully the hostess will put it out soon :) great place"

Location, location, location!!
" If you plan to spend your time at the locks and the surrounding area, this is a great location. We stayed in a cottage with 2 queen beds. It’s small as described. Clean! You can park right in front of your door. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had our dog with us and were put in a good location for her. A continental breakfast is included plus free coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day. This was appreciated because the mornings were cold. We would stay again! If you’re looking for luxury, keep looking. If you are looking for a clean space in a great location with a friendly staff, book it. "
