Terrible check-in experience
It was a terrible experience to take for the room to be cleaned. I arrived at the hotel around 3PM, but still was told that the room was not ready for check-in. I waited for another 30 minutes before getting the key card.

The room was spacious. However, it was pretty dirty, far below InterContinental's standard. One or two floors were under construction so the smell in the Lobby was bad.

The pool and gym facilities were excellent. The open buffet at night and breakfast in the morning were excellent. Even had a halal food section!!

No basis for comparison - you can’t miss this!
A real gem in the City of Springs in China, prime location within walking distance of some of the best dining and shopping experience in the city, quality of service and comfort of hotel easily out rivals any 5 star hotel we’ve been to in China. The place simply exuded class as a 5 star hotel should, easily putting many of its counterparts to shame. Staff was courteous to the point of being apologetic (for nothing!). I know it’s a cliche but the experience was truly unforgettable; my wife and kids love the hotel so much, we have no qualms revisiting the city again for the sake of restaying at the hotel, it was that good!

Overall a very pleasant experience. Cosy and comfortable. Quick check in. A relatively new hotel in the middle of th Jinan’s main attractions and surrounded by several shopping Malls a big plus point. Staff are very patient and served with a smile despite me calling them multiple times for some issues mentioned below. Some points to improve on, would be good to put some instructions on the confusing bath tub switch (tap and shower head). Required me to call room service for instruction only to find out the tap switch was faulty, but fixed immediately. So no issues with that. And also would prefer more multi build in travel plugs for a business hotel like this one. Only 1 in the room and 5 other “local” plugs.

A complete fail
Waited one and a half hour at check-in as the "rooms were not ready" when arrived arrived around 3.15pm. The reception was indifferent with the situation and didn't care to show sympathy for customers. The bed sheet had a very bad smell. It was so bad that had to call the front desk to have it changed mid night. The breakfast was a chaotic disaster. First was asked to wait as there were no "available tables". By the time finally allowed into the restaurant which was 45 mins before the end of the breakfast time, little food was left. Food tasted bland by InterContinental standards. A complete fail on this occasion.

In general it is a very good hotel and the fact that the lobby is on the 7th floor is different from other hotels and it gives some personality. BUT! nor in the lobby or at the entrance on the ground floor there is no seating area for waiting people except Elite club members. I had to wait 30 minutes for Check in and the next day almost 45 minutes for my contact to pick me up and I had to stand the whole time.

Super hotel...!
This is one of my favourite hotels in China. Last year when I came with my wife, it was her top choice also. It has been beautifully modernised and has a combination of excellence and informality. The rooms are beautiful, spotless with some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Food is good, breakfast superb, attentive young staff. My only criticism was that the internet seemed a little slow by comparison to previous stays. No doubt it will be sorted before my next visit. It is also in the centre of Jinan and easy to get out and walk about and so a little shopping and tourism. Overall a lovely place to stay, but is unfortunately now being "upgraded" from a Crowne Plaza to an Intercontinental, so no doubt the rates will go up !

Great manager! Subpar club lounge.
The hotel manager, Sam, was great. I actually had breakfast with him a couple mornings. He made the stay very pleasant. Rooms were beautiful, but they were a little warm even with the air conditioner at full blast. The club lounge was much less than I expected. Having to order drinks during the couple hour happy hour window was a hassle. Their was minimal food as well.

I spent an extended weekend in the hotel. I booked this hotel to have a comfortable (soft) bed that you won't find in typical Chinese run hotels. Also the location is great because there are many things to do in walking distance.

Great stay in Jinan
The Crowne Plaza Jinan was a fantastic stay. The beds and pillows are really, really comfortable and the room is huge. Staff is very nice and free breakfast for 2 went a long way. It has a very modern feel and some designs aren't as functional as others (they had no towel hook anywhere to hang a towel). Overall very, very good. Located right next to major Park 66 shopping center for lots of food and shopping options.

Clean, good breakfast, was doing major renovations, but did not disrupt guests. One thing i will say, the photos of the rooms on your website are not the same as the rooms. i expected a much bigger room but it was ok.

Best Hotel Staff Ever
I have traveled over much of the world, and the staff at this hotel are the finest I have ever encountered. They are not only efficient, but caring. The service clearly comes from the heart--from people who truly enjoy their work. This hotel is how a hotel should be managed, and I can't praise it enough. It's so clear that management empowers and trusts the staff here, and their inspiration spills over into every aspect of their service. I happened to be celebrating my 66th birthday while here. I was amazed at how the hotel treated me. The people here have gone out of their way to make this my most memorable hotel stay ever.
