The location was great and the room was comfortable as well as pretty. There were decent Vietnamese and western options for breakfast with fresh ordered eggs and pho which I enjoyed a lot. But what made my stay absolutely fabulous was the staff there, as they were so friendly and helpful, especially Jenny! She answered lots of my questions and provided information even before I reached there, and the restaurants she recommended were affordable and delicious. After comparing prices I got from travel agents, I booked my Ha Long Bay cruise from the hotel as well. Cannot recommend more!

Very good place to stay. It is at very good location in old quarter of Hanoi. Staff are very much supportive and always ready to co-operate. Especially the chef they are very good.

The location of the hotel is good. Our stay in hotel was very comfortable . All the hotel staffs including are very supportive and upgrade the suite room for me. I also booked the tour with hotel which Ms. Jennie which was very good. Overall very good experience with this hotel.

A lovely hotel right in the heart of the Old Quarter. Rooms were a good size, we had a family room for 4 on two levels, and food was really tasty. However, the most stand out was Sulli the Reception staff who were the most helpful I have ever come across.

If you struggle with stairs, be aware the lift starts on the 2nd floor. No restaurant, only breakfast. Polite and helpful staff.

Very affordable hotel with fantastic staff and brilliant location. Jimmy and Alex were so helpful and friendly, always up for a chat. Very comfortable bed in the bedroom, air con, laundry service and tasty breakfast. Right in the centre of Hanoi old quarter. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I love the hotel's location (walking distance to the cathedral, to Hoan Kiem Lake, to the original Cha Ca la Vong, and to the night market); the staff are the best (Melody and the rest are awesome and super helpful); and the breakfast was adequate. I will choose this hotel again on my next visit to Hanoi.

I had a lovely stay, enjoying it so much I ended up extending. The staff were incredible and always helpful a shoutout to Jimmy for being a great help always. The room was everything I could ask for after a long day of travelling. Breakfast was set up well and had everything you could want. Finally the location is perfect being located in the hussle and bussle of it all in a busy street there is always something to do or see. I would definitely stay here again :).

This hotel is an excellent choice. Good location and comfortable bed! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Mr. Jim especially went out of his way everytime to help booking tours, recommending places to eat and fixing a minor problem with the TV. My husband and I stayed three nights. One of the most welcoming hotels we have ever stayed at. A week before we arrived, the hotel reached out to us to find out if we needed a taxi from the airport and offered discounted rates for tours. We were coming from another part of Vietnam so we did not require the taxi and we had already been on the tours they were offering, so we did not take up the tour offer either; but it was nice to know it was all available to us. The actual hotel is well situated and the rooms and breakfast were fantastic. The staff were attentive and keen to assist. Jenny ‘our’ receptionist (as she was the one who welcomed us on our first day), was super helpful.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful with planning for everything from the Water Puppet show, Ha Long Bay tours, and what to see in Ha Noi. Breakfast was delicious and the location was very close to Hoan Kiem lake, which was convenient. They even were super flexible about adjusting our stay when we missed our flight connection to Ha Noi - I would definitely recommend you to stay here.

The location was perfect for all we wanted to see in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The staff are just exceptional. They go out of their way to help. Hotel features a Royal style. The breakfast is delicious and diverse. You can early check in in the morning if the room is available. Jimmy and Sulli are very kind, asking them if you have any question about the famous destination. The hotel provides excellent service. However, the prices are slightly higher during the holiday season. Halong and Ninh Binh tours were excellent, with well-planned excursions that allowed me to explore the area's hidden beauties. I can't say enough about this hotel and its excellent service. I will come back here soon!

Best hotel in hanoi, I had a great time! The location very close to the lake and old quarter. Sulli in particular was amazing, so kind and friendly. Halong bay and sapa booking the trip from Jimmy and I would like to recommend to anyone come to stay and booking the trip from here. Highly recommend!

The hotel is located in the middle of the Old Quarter, bustling city! The property is a bit old but clean. The staff were warm and courteous It's a good thing to experience the hustle and bustle of this vibrant city! Close to everything you need and people are accomodating.

The hotel is not new but it is clean and has delicious breakfast, especially pho and eggs. The staff are the best thing and the reason I give it a high score. Jimmy and Sulli are extremely friendly and enthusiastic. Jimmy introduced me to all the points of interest on the map. He also introduced many quality tours at very good prices. Unfortunately, we had planned a long time in advance and had booked all the tours already.

The facility is a bit old but it is clean. Location is good, most of the places are within walking distance. Plenty of foods in surrounding area. One thing I want to mention is that staff, particularly James, the day time floor manager, is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Room was super spacious, and clean, bed was amazing, cold AC ! Staff was very friendly, they showed me the map with all of the hidden gem, local food. Location is great, quiet neighborhood!

The staff is excellent, thank you Sully! Staff goes out of way to help, and gave great city and food recommendations. The building/facilities are dated and a tad worn but very well-maintained; the room, sheets, etc were clean! (Shower height may be too short for tall guests, fyi.) Generous with complimentary daily water, coffee, and tea. Ideal location within Old Quarter. Really great value. Recommended!!

Just spent few days in Hanoi. And Royal Palace hotel is one of the best hotel so far. If you're travelling alone, this hotel is located in Old Quarter area, which popular for tourists, and also near the St Joseph Cathedral. The hotel manager (Jimmy) is a nice guy. He told me some information about Hanoi. And it was useful, since i travelled alone :-). The room is nice, modern mix retro style. Which i love it. The AC is good. Shower with hot water. Clean and tidy.
