"This was amazing onsen beside the Yubatake (which is right in front on the hotel) so you are in the middle of the town they have Yukata you can borrow and take wear to walk and take pictures outside too. "Such a lovely Ryokan, the staff were all so kind and nice. Super friendly! Explained everything so well and offered pick up from a nearby train station and drop off at local monkey park. "This property has seen better days. My single room was like a prison cell, just 1.5 meters wide. There was no view. The food was of very low quality but beer and sake were all you can drink for 70 minutes. There are no room amenities. You have to pick them up in the lobby, even the yukata. The outdoor and regular baths are on different floors which is very strange. The clientele is mostly retirees and they seemed happy enough."

"Extremely remote (nearly a 3 hour bus ride from Kinegawa Onsen Train station into the winding mountains) which was both an adventure and unnerving.
