"The Island is Amazing! My kids & I played back & forth in their 2 fantastic pools for hours every day, some days for 8 hours & it just flew by we had such a wonderful time! They have the very best beach chairs & large sturdy umbrellas & their beach is so clean & beautiful! We love walking in the water with buckets & watching the colorful treasures wash up as we dive to catch them before the ocean grabs them back (shells we bring home & make frames of for every beach trip we take: every year at The Island since I was in diapers & with my kids since they were in diapers!). We love the remodeling they've done; it’s truly added to the overall experience. The bar off the lobby is open & inviting & they have karaoke which the kids & I love. We do a different song each time & either make it soar or seriously bomb but we laugh & have fun with the other guests & new friends we've made. We love the movie nights in the warmed pool; we can float in the water & smell the ocean air while watching a family favorite- there's no better way to see a movie! We have a big family so we get rooms across from each other on poolside & oceanside which is best bc we love the view of the mountain & falls & the Gulf. We love The Island & it's a home away from home! We travel many places but The Island is always on the books each summer bc so many of our most cherished memories were made there!"

"We stayed on a 2 bedroom condo , the only thing that we did not like is that there was no housekeeping included, in order for someone to clean the room there was an extra charge that was to expensive. We have stayed in other resorts with condo options and this service is included. You should consider this. Overall very nice hotel and great service . "

"The express check-in was not great. People were great but people were in a line waiting till 4:00pm to check in in order not to be billed 25.00 early check in. This fee should be waived at least 1 hr before to avoid overcrowding lobby and elevators. It would also be nice for to have an after 8pm happy hour for the adults and keep the pool open for another 2 hrs. "

"Amazing location off Bourbon but everything French Quarter. Family of 4 very comfy. Staff were friendly and above and beyond (difference makers)! If ever in French Quarter will stay here every time. "
