A friendly hotel offering excellent old-fashioned service. I really enjoyed my stay at the quiet end of the promenade in Douglas, with views over the bay.
Our recent stay at The Regency was superb. The property and facilities are all great but it was the people working there that really made it. Polite, professional, friendly and incredibly helpful. Everyone we spoke with was brilliant. Many thanks to all at The Regency.
Lovely hotel at the quieter end of Douglas promenade. We had a fantastic sea view room. The service was excellent and the food very good. Will definitely stay again.
Very pleasant. Friendly staff.
Breakfast a real let down -everything else great.

No info re booking table for dinner. Had to go elsewhere for wedding anniversary dinner.
Not told saturdays breakfast starts 8 am so no food taken although paid for, prior to going to airport.
Toilet seat did not fit pan so not comfortable.
Otherwise staff friendly and helpful with bus times, directions etc.

The room G03 was dark, gloomy, no natural ventilation, obscure glass, no view, smell of spray disinfectant.
Totally unacceptable, no alternatives available so we checked out straight away.
Money refunded!
Never use them again!

I apologise that you didn't enjoy your room. Like all sea facing hotels you have front facing and rear facing rooms and it is unfortunate that I didn't have one to allocate you.
The air conditioned rooms have been very popular during the heat wave with guests requesting them.
I hope you found an alternative property and enjoyed your stay on the Isle of Man.
If you are over again and would like to give the Regency the chance to reinstate your faith in the property I will try and allocate subject to availability one of the Luxury sea facing rooms.

For the money this was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Staff were very helpful and made us feel most welcome. Restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and quality dinner. Would recommend this hotel to anyone without quibble and intend to stay there again on my next visit to IOM.
We loved the building’s unmodernised features, especially the lift.
The staff were professional and helpful.
The location is perfect for the sea views and access to public transport.
A lovely hotel made all the better by the friendly helpful staff. James helped us get a last minute reservation in the hotel's restaurant and was always able to give us advice on where to go. Will being staying here again on any future visits to this wonderful island.
The restaurant was separate from the Hotel that caused a communication issue.
I am an old person and I have to go to the bathroom through the night period that could have upset guests and Hotel staff.
Lovely big room . Nice bar. Clean. Reception on day one a bit unfriendly. No bad comments but not friendly. Had to ask to get serviced and receptionist seemed busy and a bit harrassed. Lift too narrow. Only single file. So my sister had to come to a lower floor as too clastriphobic to go up to 3rd floor in.
From start to finish I had a lovely time. I had a warm welcome from the desk and the room was spacious and clean with lovely touches like coffee facilities and a biscuit. The bar staff made me a smoked salmon sandwich which was what I wanted after a hard day. The Breakfast was excellent and set up on a little table with a clean tablecloth and a rose for an artistic touch. As a business woman staying on my own I felt safe at all times and there is a lovely old fashioned vibe about the place. I would recommend this hotel and will visit again.
