"One of the best places to stay in the Black Hills. My husband, kids and I have stayed at many different locations in the area. Mountain Escape is our favorite. The location is perfect. Beautiful spot just a few miles outside of Deadwood, right on the snowmobile trails, and right next to the gas station to fuel up. The cabin is perfectly set up for our family. "My room was spacious, modern, well-equipped, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The common areas were also modern, well-lit, and spacious. My only gripe was the spa. It is heavily used. I could not help but notice that the color of the spa water had a slight yellowish brown tint, very noticeable when viewed next to the adjacent swimming pool, which had the expected clear slightly bluish hue. I figured the higher temperature spa must be on a separate filtration system from the pool. I couldn't help...

"This hotel was in a beautiful location near a couple of waterfalls and right across the street from a restaurant. Rooms were clean and spacious. Loved the nice lobby with a fireplace. Would stay again!"

"Ive stayed here multiple times for trips to deadwood. Its a short drive from downtown deadwood here and considerably less money than anything else I could price out. Its always clean and the staff is nice. Could use updating but that doesnt bother me as Im not in the room much other than to sleep."

"Parking was full and the instructions from the front desk weren’t the best. The area I was instructed to park in had no signage affiliated with the casino or hotel. Breakfast, I think the woman’s name was Bruini(spelling? I’m sorry). She did an amazing job. From all of my travels she kept the breakfast immaculate and helped folks when needed. You can tell she took pride in her work. Everything was well stocked. When folks got up within minutes you couldn’t tell anyone had been there. "
