"Beautiful property and very friendly owners. The room and common areas were spacious and private. The grounds are well kept, and the house is about to undergo maintenance which should polish it up - not that it needs much. Breakfast was sensational - big serves and really high quality. The owner was very friendly offering site seeing advice when asked, and helping me make a doctors appointment when I got ill (nothing to do with them). Beautiful, I'll go back for sure."

"I have spent in the historic lodge only one night before flying to Germany. Still, it was a great experience due to the caring and informative hosts of the lodge. The villa is conveniently situated in a walking distance from the natural reserve with a variety of birds, plants and animals and a Maori performance. Airport is 10 min by the car. Guest rooms overlook the garden; hence, it is quite there (until numerous birds will awake). Wine, fruits, Sue's tasty cake made the stay even more...

"It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it was very clean and comfortable. With the windows closed the unit was very well insulated and we couldn't hear traffic noise, which was great. The property is starting to show its age however was impeccably clean."
