This is a historic hotel building, so if you are into modern, sleek surfaces you will not be happy. We happened to appreciate the "shabby chic", and loved that the metro was right outside. Breakfast was included and delicious. The staff was very friendly. We had drinks and dinner in the restaurant at night and the food was delicious.

Excellent hotel in a very convenient location. Our room was great, as was the breakfast. We ate a few times in the hotel's restaurant, the food was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

One of Budapest's grand dames. The Danube’s Astoria is a character-filled hotel rich with history and interesting architecture. Comfortable rooms. Attentive staff. On-site food options. Close to public transport. If you appreciate vintage and the storied heritage of a place, this is a good choice in beautiful Budapest.

Lot of character but gloomy and very obvious signs of wear and tear. The Astoria is characterful but has definitely seen better days. One unusual positive: the best, most prompt lifts/elevators I have ever come across in a hotel!👍
