"A wonderful place to stay with personal onsen in the room as well as public onsen right on the sea. The room was excellent and spacious, the staff were delightful and friendly, breakfast was outstanding. The dinner was also excellent though there were limited dining options available. This a place well worth going a long way to stay."

"Had dinner and breakfast along with the private bath room. The food was excellent each time and plentiful (dinner was a little on the large side so if you stay, I might recommend skipping lunch). The staff was friendly throughout the stay and greeted us at the entrance when coming in for check in and after out outing. Location is close to the bus station from Beppu station and just one street away from Beppu Jigoku (Hell) which makes for convenience when coming by public transportation. Parking looked plentiful as well and the hotel can also get a rental car service.. going to Yufuin can get packed on the hour long bus so maybe the rental car could be very useful. "

"This is really something to be experienced. It is new (2023) and massive - hundreds and hundreds of guests. It is a spa, first and foremost. The rooms are huge, quiet, and elegant; the numerous staff are efficient and multi-lingual. Hot springs in the building, hundreds of guests strolling about in hotel yukata, views of the peaks and ocean. The optional meals are definitely recommended - the food is fantastic and also it is a long hike to get down the mountain. Partner likened it to a luxury cruise ship on land."

"Conveniently located next to esplanade & park. Nearby are convenience stores, supermarket & food court. Beppu station is around 800m away. The outdoor onsen on the rooftop is great which I prefer to the indoor one. Both are small but the rooftop one has better ambience especially in the evening. Room is spacious & bedding is comfortable. "
