"Beautiful painting when you walk in- Room was spacious and clean. Sausage on breakfast buffet was really spicy. Would have rather had regular sausage links or patties. Bathroom soap would recommend going to prefilled pump shampoo and conditioner."

"Quick response to our question when we got there. Quiet and peaceful, I never heard the barges go by. Easy to find. Short drive to town for groceries and to Maquoketa Cave State Park. Daughters thought their beds upstairs were a little hard (personal preference), but the one downstairs was very comfortable. ..."

"One of two houses for an annual friends’ getogether. All amenities and features were as advertised. The bedrooms and en suites were clean and comfortable. The living area was attractive and welcoming. This was definitely a great choice for us."

Jan 26, 2019Love this town! There's a cute little bookstore and a consignment store, along with many more stores and restaurants. Cool park with lookout over the Mississippi River.
