"We cannot recommend La Vista Daisetsuzan enough. We skied Asahi-dake two days and staying here made skiing simple. The front desk was incredibly helpful and kind. The food was delicious, and the onsen was the perfect way to end each day. The hotel is older but updated in all the necessary ways. It has an ageless charm. The room was super comfortable. "We just spent five weeks in Japan and are still talking about the food we ate here. It is nothing short of spectacular. We paid quadruple at other ryokans and this one had the best food, best location and the best onsens. It’s an older place with older, big onsens and for us that was the charm of it. The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind. We went skiing one day and snowshoeing the next and ended up seeing a red fox each day. Really can’t recommend this...

"It was bad experience. On the booking, I have indicated for 3 beds. However, she requested for extra charge when we check in. Tried to explain to host, but she refused to listen. Simple room, shower facilities is at level 1 and hot water stops at 10.30pm. Do note in case of late check in. Room is away from town, so need to have a car to drive in. It is easy to go to blue pond from guesthouse. "
