The historic character & beautiful old elevators are wonderful. The staff is kind & helpful. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection but wasn’t delicious. The coffee wasn’t very nice. We’ll be happy to return, of course.

A night by the Mediterranean
From friendly staff, great access to most sites by walking, an amazing view my stay was excellent. I wanted to stay longer. But definitely coming back to Alexandria if I can stay in this hotel. I also loved the amazing Greek-Roman museum nearby

Customer service at this hotel is exemplary. The people at the front desk, and those helping with bags are professional, helpful, courteous, and kind. Breakfast is outstanding!

This is a historic building, sparking clean, awesome view of the Mediterranean with the prestigious Steinberger management but we had a bad experience. We arrived late first day. The room was very small and we had a problem in the water supply in our room which the house keeping could not resolve and we couldn't shower the first day after a long travel. The next day we were denied access to breakfast claiming that our itinerary did not include breakfast. We had to make a long distance call to expedia to resolve the problem only then we were allowed access as our reservation did include breakfast and the mistake was at the property side. So we didn't feel comfortable and requested to cancel the rest of our stay and find another place but the property said it was a non refundable reservation. Expedia agent (Who was super helpful) was able to negotiate with the property to move us to another room which was spacious with no water problem and we could enjoy the rest of our stay. The staff was nice and the food was of high quality.

One Night in Alexandria
Alexandria was not impressive. Lots of very old buildings, but the hotel with the sea view room was worth the trip. The traffic is very loud, but we didn’t mind it much. The hotel is very clean and very friendly. The room was spacious and the view was beautiful.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff are very helpful. However, very few staff (only those working in the breakfast area) were wearing masks. This is a month into our understanding of the omicron variant. Would recommend the hotel if mask-wearing was required throughout by guests and staff

Wait until renovations are complete
Unfortunately this hotel was going through some pretty serious renovations and really should not have been open. The dining area was completely closed and this is always one of the highlights of the stay. Instead breakfast was served in a makeshift conference room. The hallways were full of construction supplies and smelled of paint. Cleaning trolleys never left the outside of our rooms. Hammering, drilling, and vacuuming took place all day. I love this hotel, but this time it was a disappointment.
