It was a good one night stay. Front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room has some kind of white noise sounds like furnace or laundry room. It is very close to senso ji. Very cost effective.

Excellent location near Sensoji and multiple train lines. A very cozy and useful communal space. I could charge my electronics and work in peace but also be surrounded by other travelers. Best part of breakfast was the tasty soups every morning!

Great hostel in Asakusa! We enjoyed the community space and lobby. There was coin laundry available and kitchen facilities. Bathrooms were kept very clean. Would stay here again.

Leaking roof which was just duct taped after we reported it, but still leaking, sub par beds ( super hard and very uncomfortable towels too thin like a hand towel very noisy guests who were loud till wee hours of the morning overall not recommended, we just couldn’t find a hotel since all were booked due to holiday season, only pro is proximity to sensoji temple and restaurants

This is a wonderful hostel. Staff are really friendly and the location is excellent, right beside a beautiful temple and a neighbourhood that feels quiet yet has lots of restaurant options and interesting people walking around. The place was really clean and we appreciated the free breakfast. Would DEFINITELY stay here again if I come to Tokyo!

Great location
The location is great, near metro station and tourist attractions. The staff, for the .ost part, were friendly. Breakfast could be better, but toast and coffee are better than nothing. You have to go through outside to reach restroo., whi h can be a cold hassle un the winter. Restrooms could be cleaner. But overall, good value and hreat location.

Excellent service, Excellent location. My family of 6 were in a single 6 bunk room that was neat and tidy. The lounge and kitchen were great to use. Staff worked really hard to help answer any questions and include us in events. We will stay here again for sure

The personel are really helpfull. FREE Breakfast in the morning. Shampoo in shower with body soap. Locker in the room. Storage room. Just a minute from corner store. Shopping and street food just around. Laundry with soap. Tv with games. Fun fun fun. I will come back.

Excellent hostel to meet with other people! And also staff are pretty good! Beds, toilet, cooking facilities was awesome!! Maybe just change the rules of closing the outside areas to 12 !

Asakusa is a great neighbourhood to stay. Lots of great restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping in the area. Hostel is very close to Tsukuba Express and Tokyo Subway stations. Senso-ji temple is a five minute walk away. Hostel itself is very straight forward. Bunk beds in dorms. Air conditioned. Comfortable. Good value for the price. Good spot to meet and interact with other travelers.

Not recommend family trip with kids. Room packed.
Not recommend family trip with kids. My room 501 (8 people room) really packed, room design look messy. Toilet got no washlet, only tissue. Shower is average. Sakura hotel at Jimbocho, near Akihabara is a whole lot better. This hostel is great for backpacker who only need to sleep in hotel.

We rented the room for our family of 5. This hostel is good value and a good place to sleep and crash after long hours of walking and exploring Tokyo. The shared bathrooms were kept cleaned and stocked. Good location for Asakusa area near restaurants, shopping, 3 subway lines. (5 - 10 min walk).

Location is a full 10! I brought a family with 3 kids and they loved it better than a hotel....because what kid doesn’t like their own bunk bed with a curtain? Had the whole room to ourselves. Very pleased with the quality of the showers, the never-ending hot water and cleanliness of the bathrooms. My wife is used to 4-star hotels and had never been to a hostel, and I think she would do it again. Fully recommend.

Comfortable beds
Beds are very comfortable. Room, toilet and bathrooms are clean. But the corridor to the bathrooms and toilet is not in the building, is a bit cold to walk to the bathrooms and toilets. More clothes hangers and places to hang clothes are needed. Slippers and towels are chargeable. Transfers needed to reach the nearest station Asakusa (Tsukuba). Easy to find convenient stores, value shops, restaurants and near by sights.

Hotels.com gets it wrong.
Hotels.com does not have the proper description for the rooms. When we arrived we were expecting 4 beds but only got two. The hostel said the make that mistake all the time even after they try to clarify over and over. There were no more rooms available so we had to share bunk beds.

Nice Hostel. The ambiance was good. We played video games in the common area with the other guests from other countries. The private room was good as well as the common bathroom/showers. The place never felt crowded.

My Tokyo trip 3-7 Sept 2018
Hostel was so clean, included bathroom. Staff are very nice & helpful. I came to check-in quite late caused of the flight, but I got very warm & cute welcome from a little teddy bear on my bed....I love it. If I have time to visit Tokyo in future, I will book this Sakura hostel for sure.

Pleasant hostel
The room with two bunk beds worked out for our trip with 4 adults and 1 toddler. We just made a little bed from unused blankets for the toddler. It is always difficult sharing with little ones, but it worked! The bathroom was very clean. It was a nice time. It is a hostel, so some lack of privacy - along with meeting nice people from all over - is to be expected! The location is excellent for visiting the Asakusa area.

Great location great price great staff
The Sakura hostel is one of the best hostels I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. The staff are great and the location is amazing. You get a pretty basic dorm room and washrooms with showers on the same floor. I met many cool people in the lobby. It has a shared space where you can eat watch tv and use the internet. This place is great for anyone that just need a bed for the night.

its very nice stay because near sensoji temple
me and my friend really glad can stay at here because the hostel near sensoji temple and the staff is very help[full.So comfort for stay here,but may i suggest for upgrade the toilet to new technology ,because we asia people like toilet with water flush when in toilet hehe.the area was clean.and can save our luggage for 1 night free.Thank you for the welcome face to all staff.Soap and Shampoo at bathroom but towel must rent.

Great location and that’s about it.
Not your typical clean Japanese hostel. Maybe you’re spoilt in Japan with hostels but this isn’t one of them. Stayed as it had good reviews and in a good area but very disappointed with the dorm rooms. Very old creeky beds and too many people in a room. The bathrooms were tiny and freezing in the winter, also not very clean. Common area was dirty (could use a new couch or two) Great location right next to the temple, safe to walk around and lots of food choices. Staff were helpful. Atmosphere was ok, but very old and cold building in winter. Lots of better choices out there for the same price or less (which I moved to) Wouldnt stay again.

Near to the train station,easy to locate
Once I went the room smile like inside the car after having a football match. In my men room only,was waked up by these noised that someone brought his girl .....doing at 4.10am in the morning.(photo lady jacket,bag,sandal on the carpet)

Just a bare bone dorm bed, no place to hang clothes, long walk to shared bath room. Bedsheet is provided but self service, must bring back bedsheet upon checkout. Breakfast only limited to toast and coffee. No towels......
