Yeng Keng is a great place to stay while in Penang. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The staff Kellen and Yeoh are very friendly and helpful. They helped us make reservation of restaurants and gave us good suggestions on where to go, for eg, China House, and the nearby Joo Hooi coffee shop, which we liked much. The breakfast spread was very substantial and we really looked forward to the breakfast every morning.
The room is very comfortable. The only downside to our room at #108 is that the WiFi is not strong and quite unstable. We had to stay close to the main door in order to be able to get the WiFi signal.
The air-con unit is not connected to the main switch and hence it has to be switched on and off separately.
Overall we still like Yeng Keng very much, as it is such a lovely heritage hotel.
