The property itself is awesome and we had the most amazing time. The one hiccup we faced was from the front desk who confirmed we could check-in early and then back tracked on what she said once we reached.
What a gem of a hotel! The decor is classy vintage, and our room was comfy and immaculate! Easy walk to Cannery row and the waterfront, We enjoyed the variety at the large Continental breakfast, and especially, the wine reception in the afternoon! A wonderful stay!
We enjoyed our first time stay @ the Victorian Inn. Check in was pleasant and the front desk informed me of the complimentary breakfast as well as the evening wine and cheese. I was also give restaurant recommendations (Layla Grill) for dinner which we tried and was very good. I was able to obtain my room about 20 minutes prior to check in time. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the fireplace. Parking fee is $17 but worth the convenience of being able to walk to Cannery Row and the Aquarium. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks;)
This is a nice place to stay downtown, and not too far away from the water. It's a lot bigger than you think, with plenty of rooms. They have complimentary breakfast and wine/cheese hour, which are nice touches. Parking is available but you need to pay for it.
Large room, good breakfast, good location. Room at night was a little warm as there was no A/C, but it wasn't awful. Would definitely visit again.

The fireplace in the room was a nice touch. The main house is cute, but I don’t think there are rooms in it. You’re really staying in a motel with like 50 rooms. The carpets and chairs are old and dingy in the room. I tried to turn on the A/C, but it would not work. After looking around for a while I never found an A/C or heater vent in the bedroom. I’m not sure what the thermostat was connected to. I asked the desk at checkout, but they just said they would check with maintenance.

The property was great and we loved the Cheese and Wine as well as breakfast.
Our sink did have some mold in the pipes (room 173) and I did not like that Parking was paid (please just include the price for parking in the room price).
The hotel is a little older (as the name suggests haha) but offers a great value for the buck, especially if you take the location into the account. The parking was super easy and we really enjoyed the breakfast. Would stay again!
Room was spacious, bed was comfy. We were on the bottom floor looking at the outdoor patio area. Surroundings were beautful and clean. Each room has its own patio with chairs and table to enjoy sitting outside. And a fireplace was perfect touch for our adult only getaway
We have been staying at this property for the last 10 years, every time we visit monterey. The main reason we like this property is how easy it is to walk down to Cannery Row and the Sardine Factory restaurant. The rooms are lovely and clean. They offer a nice cheese and wine happy hour, and have a good breakfast.
Close to everything! We parked our car and didn’t move it again until it was time to leave! Food, the wharf, aquarium, shopping, beaches all within walking distance! Great breakfast, and friendly staff
Wonderful stay at this well-located property. Walking distance to everything you need. Nice staff, great breakfast, clean and attractive grounds. A very good value!
Our room faced Foam Street. I specifically asked for a quite room and was told the traffic was gone after 7 pm. Not true, cars went by up until 12:00 AM. The morning was the worst. I could hear every car that went by from 4:00 AM, when the garbage trucks started and I could not sleep! Exhausting trip.
