Check in was friendly and location was good. The cleanliness and condition of the property was bad to disgusting. There was a hole punched in the wall, the carpet was horribly stained and torn (major tripping hazard) both in the room and hallway, and various other maintenance concerns ignored. Furthermore, I was charged almost twice as much than some other guests (guest register was left on the counter with prices).
Excellent overall stay (3 nights), especially for the price ! Nice clean hotel 5 min from Kanazawa Station. The hotel manager was very gracious, friendly & helpful. She even played live Japanese music at night in the Lobby, and there was an Onsen at the hotel at no extra charge. And the coin operated laundry right across the street sure came in handy too. And I recommend walking over to the Forus Bldg next to the Station - the 5th floor is "all restaurants from which to choose. Thanks Oka Hotel !
It is very near Kanazawa station. Just a short walk. Hotel us old but well kept. Service is good. Very helpful. There is a hot bath pool next to the check in counter (male and female separated). Opens till midnight. Hotel lady boss (the iconic old Japanese old lady) recommended us a restaurant for raw fish seafood rice. Quality is superb and cheap. Breakfast is simple but very healthy Japanese traditional breakfast. We had miso soup, fried egg, raw egg with rice, and preserved veg which consists of detox ingredients. Strongly recommended for its close proximity to station and low rate with free traditional Japanese breakfast.
This hotel is close to the station. There are lots of better hotels around the area. I would not recommend this hotel as the hotel is very old and need major renovation. The sink was very rustic and the washlet is very old. The room is clean but the A/C. Temperature cannot be adjusted as the thermostat seemed not working. There are not very many choices for breakfast, either the Japanese style breaksfast or bread and eggs for foreign guests.

Thank you very much for staying at our hotel.
This hotel is located near the Kanazawa station, but facilities are surely old and cannot promise comfortable staying.
But we will try the reform of the room hard in spite of being an act little by little to be able to stay as possible comfortably.
There are many hotels around the station, but is recommended in the which wants to stay for price serious consideration.
Thank you for a contribution.

Close to station
The hotel was easy to find, and really close to the station! Unfortunately the closest convenience store was a little far walk away, but there were plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood! The hotel itself was in ok condition, obviously a bit old, but practical for a place to sleep after a long day of sightseeing at a good price!
We had a room for three adults. There were 4 real beds in the room. This left little additional space however the beds were comfortable, the air conditioning was more than adequate and the window covers kept the room dark at night. We did not here noises from other guests or from the street all of these factors were conducive to a great nights sleep. The bathroom was neat but dated. It was however quite functional the shower/bath worked just fine. Breakfast was thrown in for a very inexpensive and comfortable nights sleep. Choose an international breakfast if you want one cooked egg (poached) or Japanese style if you want a raw egg to mix with your freshly cooked rice. You dish out the rice for yourself. The breakfast had a few vegetables as well and coffee. The breakfast was simple but we had no complaints. It carried us through until lunch. we had no regrets staying here and appreciated the comfortable sleep.
Very disappointed, clearly written booked for 2 adults & 1 child, but we still have to pay the extra charge for child....they don't want know or hear our explanation even I show our print order via Hotels.com
Old Hotel & seemed with family management (not professional management) and poor breakfast also
(Sorry to tell that, because that was our experience)
Comfort wise, it's reasonable. But the most important is that it is close to the Kanazawa station at a good price. Thus means ease of getting to the buses and getting to the train after checking out.
If you're a smoker and enjoy living in a smokey stench, this place is your paradise. The room and hallways reeked of cigarette smoke, there were no non smoking rooms at all. We slept with the window open to try and air out the room but still left the hotel with our hair and clothes smelling like cigarettes.
There was no duvet cover on the duvet which is pretty unhygienic. The hotel is seriously dated.

Cost effective hotel
Not far from kanazawa station. Hotel is quite old including facility in room. Room is clean and nice staff with breakfast.
This hotel is in very poor condition. The bathroom walls are basically rotting...
The only redeeming feature is that the hotel is very close to Kanazawa station, but there are other hotels nearby that you are better off booking. Unfortunately i was booking at the last minute, so if you're going to Kanazawa try to book a few weeks in advance!
The plumbing in the bathroom leaked all over the floor and soaked the room carpet when my daughter had a shower. This released 40 years of accumulated smells from the carpet, making the room stink of mold, cigarette smoke, cabbage, etc. We asked at the desk for a new room but the hotel was full. The little old lady at the desk came up with us and very pluckily stuck her arm down the drain and drew out a hedgehog sized ball of hair and soap. The shower drained properly after that but the room still stank so much it made me dizzy. This was the cheapest place we stayed in Japan - you get what you pay for.
Convenient location. Rooms and breakfast ordinary.
Great location near train station. Rooms extremely dated and whole place smelled of smoke. Beds awfully uncomfortable with non existent pillows. Breakfast was $10 per person which consisted one piece of toast, a cold fried egg and undrinkable drip coffee. Fine if just for somewhere to have a (bad) sleep but nothing more than that.
this is new hotel selection up on expedia and I totally got caught out by the hotel interior and room photos. Oka hotel is terribly old and the facilities are in such a bad shape. I'm so regret to choose to stay with them, as you can easily end up a much better hotel choice than this.
