Second, even though the room descriptions had the same square footage, many of the rooms on one side of the building have a small balcony. The rooms on the other side of the building have no balcony. So the rooms with balcony have noticably smaller usable space."

"The Rido is in an excellent location on Xinyi Road, there is a large park across on the other side of the road, and there's a subway station entrance just a short walk down the road. Taipei 101 and the convention centre are a few subway stops away on the red line, and the Taipei Central Station is a few stops in the other direction. So it's very accessible from both airports. The hotel's front desk has someone there 24 hours a day, which is a nice touch. There is a washing machine and dryer...

"Taipei experienced largest earthquakes (over 5 richter scale since 25 years ago. The hotel elevators were inactivated and resume operations after inspection, which was completed the same day. It is incredibly efficient since there were lots of elevators in Taipei that needed to be re-inspected or repaired. Without elevators, staff inspected and cleaned the hotel rooms. It was hard work for the housekeepers since they had to climb stairs over 10 floors to clean all rooms. They were still...
